Aloha SurfHive fam! What's up?
We are bringing here a frotnightly summary of our weekly SurfHive and Surflimpo Communities meeting. If you haven't read any of our last recaps, check it out here.
Our meetings are being held weekly, and are more of a "community meeting". We are bringing news, partner projects to present themselves, discussing projects and leaving space for questions and suggestions.
As not everyone can participate, we will publish a "SurfHive and Surflimpo Communities Meeting Summary" here and on our Discord, so you can stay on top of what's happening.
The SurfHive and Surflimpo Communities Meeting takes place every Wednesday from 2 to 3 pm (Brazilian Standard Time, UTC-03:00) via Google Meet (access here) and is held in PT-BR. Everyone is invited!
The rewards obtained through this post, which will remain on the Surflimpo account, will be used to support the Surflimpo community in its impact actions, such as beach cleaning events and support for socio-environmental projects that take care of our oceans or that use surfing as a tool for inclusion.
SurfHive and Surflimpo Communities Meeting Summary (March 1 and 8, 2023)
In these first two March/2023 meetings covered in this summary, we discussed curation issues for SurfHive, tried to think a little outside the box, and talked about some plans for the coming weeks and months.

1. Curation issues for SurfHive
In the last few weeks, we received the news that one of our dear members, @luizhadad, lost his OCD onboarder position, which means we lost great power to get upvotes in our posts here at SurfHive.
On the other hand, @crisciacm applied to be an onboarder and is in the trial phase. She already has her referral link to send to people who want to join SurfHive (get in touch with her!) and can now submit her introductory posts and others to the OCD curation.
If you still want to register with Hive or join SurfHive, here's a tutorial on creating your account and the steps you should follow once you've entered.
Another option is, if your post is about surfing, send the link to @lucasrocha94, which takes care of @surfhive's profile, and if it receives an upvote from @surfhive, your post will automatically receive upvotes from @gnars. But this is only valid for surf posts, okay? Being of any other theme, send the link of your post to @crisciacm.
Playing with the theme, we decided to look into other curation options outside of OCD and SurfHive to encourage people here at SurfHive to post more and earn more rewards from their content.
2. Creating content about Hive outside of Hive
When our team looked at other curation options within Hive and explored other communities, we realized that all content about Hive is just... within Hive. We can even find content about Hive on other social media, such as Twitter, but it still needs to be improved.
If we want to bring more people in here, we must talk about Hive outside Hive, on other networks (Twitter, Instagram, Medium...), and other means of communication. We don't know when or how, but we're still thinking of ideas to expand our horizons and bring more people to Hive and SurfHive too!
3. How to encourage more people to join SurfHive
Growing the surf and sea community here at Hive has undoubtedly been a great challenge. Some ideas came up, but they all depend on resources and a treasury, which we still need!
The idea of getting paid for the content produced is excellent. However, it still needs to attract more people, mainly because the web3 environment, for many people, is still a bottomless pit with a lot of information and difficulty to understand. But we followed in small and slow steps, teaching and trying to bring more people here little by little.

We don't have agendas yet, but they will emerge! hehe

Estamos trazendo aqui um resumo quinzenal dos nossos encontros semanais das Comunidades Surflimpo e SurfHive. Se não leu nenhum dos nossos últimos resumos, veja aqui.
Nossas reuniões estão sendo feitas semanalmente, e são mais um "encontro da comunidade". Estamos trazendo novidades, projetos parceiros para se apresentarem, discutindo projetos e deixando espaço para dúvidas e sugestões.
Como nem todos podem participar, vamos pubicar aqui e no nosso Discord um "Resumo da Reunião das Comunidades SurfHive e Surflimpo" para que vocês fiquem por dentro do que está acontecendo.
A Reunião das Comunidades SurfHive e Surflimpo acontece toda quarta-feira das 14 às 15h (Horário de Brasília / UTC-03:00) pelo Google Meet (acesse aqui) e são feitas em PT-BR. Todos estão convidados!
As recompensas obtidas através desse post que permanecerão na conta do Surflimpo serão destinadas para apoiar a comunidade Surflimpo em suas ações de impacto, como ações de limpeza de praia e apoio a projetos socioambientais que cuidam dos nossos oceanos ou que usam o surf como ferramenta de inclusão.

Nessas duas primeiras reuniões de março/2023 contempladas nesse resumo, discutimos um pouco sobre questões de curadoria para a SurfHive e também tentamos pensar um pouco fora da caixa e conversamos sobre alguns planos para as próximas semanas e meses.

1. Questões de curadoria para a SurfHive
Nas últimas semanas recebemos a notícia que um dos nossos queridos integrantes, @luizhadad, perdeu seu posto de onboarder da OCD, o que significa que perdemos um grande poder de conseguir upvotes nos posts da galera aqui na SurfHive.
Por outro lado, a @crisciacm aplicou para ser onboarder e está em fase de teste. Ela já tem seu link de referral para mandar para as pessoas que desejam entrar na SurfHive (entre em contato com ela!) e já pode enviar seus posts de introdução e outros também para a curadoria da OCD.
Se você ainda não se cadastrou na Hive e/ou não entrou para a SurfHive, aqui vai um tutorial de como criar sua conta e os passos que você deve seguir depois de entrar.
Outra opção é, caso o seu post seja sobre surf, envie o link do seu post para o @lucasrocha94, que toma conta do perfil da @surfhive e recebendo o upvote da @surfhive, você automaticamente vai receber upvotes da @gnars. Mas isso só é valido para post de surf, beleza? Sendo de qualquer outro tema, envie o link do seu post para a @crisciacm.
Aproveitando o tema, decidimos procurar outras opções de curadoria fora da OCD e SurfHive para incentivar as pessoas aqui na SurfHive e postarem mais e ganharem mais recompensas nos seus conteúdos.
2. Criação de conteúdo sobre a Hive fora da Hive
Quando o nosso time estava procurando outras opções de curadoria dentro da Hive e explorando outras comunidades, percebemos que todo o conteúdo sobre a Hive está praticamente apenas... dentro da Hive. A gente até consegue encontrar conteúdos sobre a Hive em outras mídias sociais, como o Twitter, mas ainda é muito limitado.
A ideia que tivemos é: se queremos trazer mais pessoas aqui para dentro, teremos que falar sobre a Hive fora da Hive, em outras redes (Twitter, Instagram, Medium...) e outros meios de comunicação. Não sabemos quando ou como, mas ainda vamos pensar em ideias para poder expandir nossos horizontes e trazer mais pessoas para a Hive e para a SurfHive também!
3. Como incentivar que mais pessoas entrem na SurfHive
Certamente tem sido um grande desafio crescer a comunidade do surf e do mar aqui dentro da Hive. Algumas ideias surgiram, mas todas elas dependem de recursos e uma tesouraria, que a gente ainda não tem!
A ideia de ser pago pelo conteúdo produzido é muito boa, mas ainda não atrai muitas pessoas, muito por causa do fato de que o ambiente da web3, para muita gente, ainda é um poço sem fundo, com muita informação e difícil de entender. Mas seguimos a passos curtos e devagar, ensinando e tentando trazer mais pessoas para cá aos poucos.

Ainda não temos pautas, mas elas irão surgir! Hehe
