Aloha Surflimpo fam! What's up?
As agreed, we are bringing here a summary of our weekly Surflimpo Community meetings. If you haven't read any of our last recaps, check it out here.
Our meetings are being held weekly, and are more of a "community meeting". We are bringing news, partner projects to present themselves and leaving space for questions and suggestions.
As not everyone can participate, we will publish a "Surflimpo Community Meeting Summary" here and on our Discord, so you can stay on top of what's happening.
The Surflimpo Community Meeting takes place every Wednesday from 2 to 3 pm (Brazilian Standard Time, UTC-03:00) via Google Meet (access the meeting link here) and is held in PT-BR. Everyone is invited!
The rewards obtained through this post, which will remain on the Surflimpo account, will be used to support the Surflimpo community in its impact actions, such as beach cleaning events and support for socio-environmental projects that take care of our oceans or that use surfing as a tool for inclusion.
Surflimpo Community Meeting Summary (10/19/2022)
At this meeting, we were going to talk a little about the opportunity to get funding through NounsDAO, but the person who would come to speak to us about the subject could not participate (it will be for the next meeting). So we had another general discussion with some cool agendas to talk about.

1. Strengthening SurfHive's relationship with Route Brasil
🔶 As you know, we already explained in our first post that our social currency DROP results from a project started by Surfguru and Route Brasil. During the co-design process of the coin, we had some people from the Route team with us, but little by little, some of these people lost touch with the project.
🔶 But Ana Gentil from the Route team, who has been with us since the beginning, continues to accompany all activities and has been very active within our community. She has done an excellent job of bringing all of our content, news, and updates to the Route team and slowly bringing the Route team closer to SurfHive. Thank you, Ana, for keeping our relationship alive!
2. SurfHive training for Route Brasil
🔶 A few weeks ago, we had an “extra” meeting with some people from Route to talk about our tools (DROP, cRECY, and HIVE), but we left it to speak about Hive in a separate meeting. Ana is looking to set a date for us to hold this meeting and remind everyone about the importance of this tool on web3.
🔶 One of the biggest challenges we face as a project is fundraising, and Hive is one of the tools that can help a lot in this mission. The idea is to train people on the tools so that they can take advantage of the opportunities that web3 offers us. SurfHive is just one gateway that will undoubtedly open many others.
🔶 It's clear here that we at SurfHive are trying to bring resources to Route as well. And these are resources that only depend on us; these are resources that greatly complement the revenue and bring financial resilience. We mustn't rely on only one source of income and have other alternatives to sustain ourselves in times of crisis.
🔶 This says a lot about our intention to strengthen our relationship with Route. Participation and involvement are crucial to create a stronger bridge with the rest of the organization. Route has been a partner of @surfgurupro for a few years, collaborating with its impact fund; it joined with Surfguru to create @surflimpo and DROP, and now we are taking another step here at HIVE.
3. End-of-year bazaar

🔶 Let's remember this here that is for everyone to stay tuned. Our friend @luizhadad will promote a bazaar in December, where he will only accept payments with HIVE and DROP. So, if you still need to join the Surflimpo community, join now and keep an eye on our store.
🔶 He will advertise surfboards and accessories, clothes, shoes, books, and other items in excellent condition. Here's a tip for you that can let go of some things too. Why not put your products up for sale in our store and accept DROP or HIVE as payment? Let's go?
4. Future Quest Grant Application
🔶 Future Quest is an accelerator for high-impact climate projects that use web3 and whose mission is to create a better planet and future. Here we are trying to do exactly what they propose, and we will apply for a $25,000 grant. It is a golden opportunity for us to start the year 2023 with enough resources to have more tools and possibilities to promote beach cleaning events and other ocean care actions contemplated by our project, in addition to activating our network even more.

Como combinado, estamos trazendo aqui um resumo dos nossos encontros semanais da Comunidade Surflimpo. Se não leu nenhum dos nossos últimos resumos, veja aqui.
Nossas reuniões estão sendo feitas semanalmente, e são mais um "encontro da comunidade". Estamos trazendo novidades, projetos parceiros para se apresentarem e deixando espaço para dúvidas e sugestões.
Como nem todos podem participar, vamos pubicar aqui e no nosso Discord um "Resumo da Reunião da Comunidade Surflimpo" para que vocês fiquem por dentro do que está acontecendo.
A Reunião da Comunidade Surflimpo acontece toda quarta-feira das 14 às 15h (Horário de Brasília / UTC-03:00) pelo Google Meet (acesse o link da reunião aqui) e são feitas em PT-BR. Todos estão convidados!
As recompensas obtidas através desse post que permanecerão na conta do Surflimpo serão destinadas para apoiar a comunidade Surflimpo em suas ações de impacto, como ações de limpeza de praia e apoio a projetos socioambientais que cuidam dos nossos oceanos ou que usam o surf como ferramenta de inclusão.

Nesse encontro nós iríamos falar um pouco sobre a oportunidade de conseguir financiamento através da NounsDAO, mas a pessoa que viria falar com a gente sobre o assunto não pode participar (vai ficar pra próxima reunião). Então tivemos mais uma reunião de suporte/duvidas, com algumas pautas legais.

1. Estreitamento da relação da SurfHive com a Route Brasil
🔶 Como vocês sabem, já explicamos no nosso primeiro post que a nossa moeda social DROP é fruto de um projeto iniciado pelo Surfguru e pela Route Brasil. Durante todo o processo de codesenho da moeda, tivemos algumas pessoas do time da Route conosco, mas aos poucos, algumas dessas pessoas perderam um pouco o contato com o projeto.
🔶 Mas, a Ana Gentil do time da Route, que está conosco desde o início, continua acompanhando todas as atividades e tem sido bem ativa dentro da nossa comunidade. Ela tem feito um trabalho excelente de levar todos os nossos conteúdos, notícias e updates para o time da Route, e aos poucos trazer o time da Route mais pra perto da SurfHive. Obrigada Ana, por manter essa nossa relação viva!
2. Treinamento sobre a SurfHive para a Route Brasil
🔶 A poucas semanas atrás tivemos uma reunião “extra” com algumas pessoas da Route para falar sobre nossas ferramentas (DROP, cRECY e HIVE), mas deixamos pra falar sobre a Hive numa reunião a parte. Ana está vendo de marcar uma data para fazermos essa reunião e lembrar a galera sobre a importância dessa ferramenta na web3.
🔶 Um dos maiores desafios que enfrentamos como projeto é a captação de recursos, e a Hive é uma das ferramentas que podem ajudar muito nessa missão. A ideia é capacitar as pessoas sobre as ferramentas para que elas possam tirar um bom proveito das oportunidades que a web3 nos oferece. A SurfHive é só uma porta de entrada, que com certeza vai abrir várias outras.
🔶 É bom deixar claro aqui que nós, aqui na SurfHive, estamos tentando trazer recursos para a Route também. E são recursos que só dependem da gente; são recursos que complementam muito a receita e trazem resiliência financeira. É essencial não dependermos apenas de uma fonte de receita e termos outras alternativas para nos mantermos em tempos de crise.
🔶 Isso diz muito sobre essa nossa intenção de estreitar a nossa relação com a Route. Participação e envolvimento são muito importantes, para que possamos criar uma ponte mais sólida com o restante da organização. A Route é parceira do @surfgurupro a alguns anos colaborando com seu fundo de impacto, se uniu com o Surfguru para criar o @surflimpo e a DROP, agora estamos dando mais um passo aqui na HIVE.
3. Bazar de fim de ano
🔶 Vamos só lembrar disso aqui que é pra todo mundo ficar ligado. Nosso amigo @luizhadad vai promover um bazar em Dezembro, onde vai aceitar pagamentos apenas com HIVE e DROP. Então, caso você ainda não tenha entrado na comunidade Surflimpo, entre agora e fique de olho na nossa loja.
🔶 Ele vai anunciar pranchas e acessórios de surf, roupas, sapatos, livros, entre outros itens, tudo em ótimo estado. Já fica aqui a dica pra você que tá podendo desapegar de algumas coisas também. Por que não colocar seus produtos pra vender na nossa loja e aceitar DROP ou HIVE como pagamento? Bora?
4. Aplicação para o Grant da Future Quest
🔶 A Future Quest é um acelerador para projetos climáticos de alto impacto que utilizam a web3 e que tem como missão criar um planeta e um futuro melhor. Cá estamos nós tentando fazer exatamente o que eles propõem e vamos aplicar para conseguir um financiamento de 25 mil dólares. É uma oportunidade de ouro para conseguirmos começar o ano de 2023 com recursos o suficiente para termos mais ferramentas e possibilidades para promovermos eventos de limpezas de praia e outras ações de cuidados com os oceanos contempladas pelo nosso projeto, além de ativar ainda mais a nossa rede.
5. Pautas para a próxima reunião
Vamos tentar trazer a @marinioac para falar sobre as oportunidades que a NounsDao tem trazido para alguns projetos que apoiamos. Não perca!
