This is my entry for the daily #monomad challenge

Grasshoppers are herbivorous insects in the order Orthoptera which have many species spread in various parts of the world. The presence of grasshoppers certainly has two sides, namely the positive and negative sides. Locusts in large quantities will certainly be detrimental because they can damage various plants, let alone some cultivated plants. And that has happened in several countries and one of them happened in Sumba, Indonesia in 2016 which destroyed tens of hectares of crops.

But on the other hand, grasshoppers are one of the insects that can be eaten, apart from its delicious taste, it also has good nutritional content such as protein, calcium and several other nutrients.

And today at around 11.19 WIB I was in a bush overgrown with fresh grass, where it became a comfortable place for grasshoppers to live. And by chance I saw a grasshopper in the Acrididae family mating. Certainly an interesting object for me to photograph. This grasshopper is indeed easy to find in bushes or fresh grass. But before that I rarely found him when he was mating.

This grasshopper itself has a dark color, which is blackish brown even to the color of its eyes are black. However, the male locust has a slightly different color on the belly, which is yellow. In addition, the size of the male locust is smaller than the size of the female locust.
