Focus stacked image created from multiple separate shots at F2, 1/100sec, ISO200.

  • Main image taken with the Olympus E-M1 II and 25mm Mitakon lens with 10mm extension tube.
  • Stacked with Zerene Stacker
  • Edited with Capture One and Aurora hdr

Some more stacked images of the same wasp with the mitakon lens
This lens is manual focus lens so I could not use the Olympus focus bracketing feature and had to manually adjust the focus between each shot.

Absolutely stunning macro shots and it looks like you get the detail when they fly close to the flowers, is that right mate?

Thanks very much.
The wasp in the images was dead. I just set up the dead wasp next to a flower that I had picked then take multiple images moving the lens focus point a little between each shot. I then merge the separate shots in software to achieve the detail.
In these images I actually shot the wasp and flower up side down because the wasp looked more natural like that, then flipped it around while editing.
For a better explanation check out my tutorial videos, links in the post above.

thanks again my friend for the summary, I'll check it and..you managed to make the bee really look very amazing 😍

your macro shots are amazing apart from that your editing skills are also good.
