People gonna people no matter where they live I suppose. Just wish they could do it elsewhere sometimes.

Thank you! For me totality more than makes up for any disappointment at not being able to see the partial eclipse without glasses. Those few minutes when you can take off your glasses and gaze at the sun directly are just so incredible, I don't have strong enough words to describe the experience.

In 2017 it was mid-morning when the eclipse hit, so the animals had just started their day when it got dark, was rather eerie how quiet it got. Ha, I'm sure they do. Growing up we just used the dogs for weather forecasting, if they ever suddenly got under the porch we knew a storm was about to hit. They were much more accurate than the weatherman on the TV anyway :D
