One of the great urban legends of photography is that it's just pressing a button. If it were that simple, anyone could take good photos or anyone could be publishing their work in internationally renowned magazines.

As an eternal apprentice and young photographer, I spend an important part of my day studying, not as much as I should, but as much as life and my other work obligations allow me.

The first photograph I present to today's Monomad challenge is an image I had planned for days.
La primera fotografía que presento al reto Monomad de hoy es una imagen que había planeado hacer durante días.
'The lady of the stairs,' as I want to name the piece, was thought out in advance. I wanted to capture a photograph that showed the floors of the building with the stairs and that someone was entering at that moment. This idea was in my mind since I decided to visit the place. I had already visualized the image; it wasn't the first time I visited the place, so I knew how the light would behave and what the architecture of the place was like, and where I should stand to wait.
'La señora de la escalera', como deseo nombrar la obra, fue pensada con anticipación. Quería capturar una fotografía que mostrara los pisos del edificio con las escaleras y que alguien estuviera entrando en ese momento. Esta idea estuvo en mi mente desde que decidí visitar el lugar. Ya había previsualizado la imagen; no era la primera vez que visitaba el lugar, por lo tanto, sabía cómo se comportaría la luz y cuál era la arquitectura del lugar, y dónde debería pararme a esperar.
Several minutes passed with the camera held with the strap in my hand, waiting for someone to come. There were some failed attempts; I heard a sound and thought someone would come, but it wasn't so. Everything until some minutes later, I was lucky enough to still be standing in the place I had decided to be, and the possibility of taking the picture arose.
Pasaron varios minutos con la cámara agarrada con la correa en mi mano, esperando a que viniera alguien. Hubo algunos intentos fallidos; escuchaba un sonido y pensaba que vendría alguien, pero no fue así. Todo hasta que algunos minutos después tuve la suerte de seguir parado en el lugar que había decidido estar y se dio la posibilidad de hacer la imagen.
Patience, having patience, is something I'm working on and it begins to help me when I take pictures. (It also works in life 🤣).
La paciencia, tener paciencia, es algo en lo que estoy trabajando y que comienza a ayudarme cuando realizo imágenes. (También funciona en la vida 🤣).
The other images were not planned, they are more spontaneous."

I took an image from the lowest floor from a low angle view. There was no one to help me accompany the image and I couldn't wait any longer.
Hice una imágen desde el piso más bajo en contrapicado. No había nadie que me ayudara a acompañar la imagen y ya no podía esperar más tiempo.
Between floor and floor of the building there is this kind of wall made with these hexagonal-shaped clay structures that allows light and air to pass through. It also allows you to take photographs:)
Entre piso y piso del edificio hay esta especie de pared realizada con estas estructuras de barro de forma exagonal que permite pasar la Luz y el aire. Además permite que pueda hacer las fotografías :).
You can also see what is happening outside or wait and photograph.
También puedes ver lo que está sucediendo afuera o esperar y fotografíar.
I left the place knowing that I had been able to make the image I had planned to make, after waiting, having patience and also a little luck since nightfall was approaching and it would be very difficult .
Me fuí del lugar sabiendo que había podido realizar la imagen que tenía pensada hacer, después de esperar, tener paciencia y también un poco de suerte ya que se acercaba el anochecer y sería muy poca la luz que había de esto ocurrir.

La paciencia es una gran amiga. La fotografía creo que es la única que logra sacar mi lado más paciente. Me encantó La mujer de la escalera 🙌
