weevil, grasshopper, and spider- Monomad challenge

in Black And White18 days ago

This is my entry for the #monomad challenge hosted and curated by @monochromes

Today I have several creatures that I tried to edit in black and white and then share with all of you in a black and white community.

Just as you know some of the small insects are very skittish, and most of the time they feel threatened when I try to approach them to photograph, and as a result, they usually will just fly away from me, or any way they usually travel, and despite their small sizes, they can avoid you very easily since they move fast.

I will start the post with this little weevil that I found on the green leaf of an ornamental plant at my parent's house. I didn't notice it at first before I looked closely to search for another animal, and then I met this little guy.

It was facing to the right when I found it, and when I tried to photograph it, it turned left and got my second shot. and boom it was gone and flew away from me.

At a separate location and time, I found this grasshopper on the rim of a bush's leaf, I love the shape of its head and also the eyes. The color of this grasshopper was totally green, but when I turned it into black and white it shown its texture with a lot of white dots and stripes on its body. so cool.

And then the last one is this web spider on the wild bitter gourd plant, I don't really see the web, since it think it might just moved to this place, and yet to make its web to trap its prey, but I found this little guy faster.

I love the pattern on its back, and my presence disturbed this guy a little bit because it started to move after the second shot.

I even needed to turn the leaf upside down to get a good photo of this guy, but unfortunately, it activated its flight plan, which was a free fall to the bush below.
