Between Classic and Modern
My daily adventure continues unstoppably through the streets of the always beautiful city of Caracas, this time the work obligations forced me to walk through part of the northern center of the city, this is a space that is little known for tourism and therefore appears very little in the photographic records that visitors take of the Venezuelan capital, but actually hides tremendously interesting locations where we can stumble upon some iconic structures and at the same time with several of the tallest towers in the center of the city.

Sigue de forma indetenible mi aventura diaria por las calles de la siempre bella ciudad de Caracas, en esta oportunidad las obligaciones laborales me obligaron a recorrer parte del centro norte de la ciudad, este es un espacio que turísticamente es poco conocido y, por lo tanto, figura muy poco en los registros fotográficos que los visitantes se llevan de la capital venezolana, pero que en realidad esconde locaciones tremendamente interesantes en donde nos podemos tropezar con algunas estructuras icónicas y al mismo tiempo con varias de las torres más altas del centro de la ciudad.
What started as a work outing would quickly turn into a pleasant stroll through spaces that I had not visited for many years, it is in this way that without hesitation in any second I took out my phone and began to perform the activity that I like most, taking pictures, with which I left aside the stress of everyday life, leaving the way free to develop my creative potential to the fullest and at the same time capturing the realities and details of a city that is simply amazing.
Lo que comenzó como una salida de trabajo rápidamente se convertiría en un placentero paseo por espacios que desde hace bastantes años no recorría, es de esta forma como sin dudarlo en ningún segundo saqué mi teléfono y comencé a realizar la actividad que más me gusta, tomar fotografías, con lo cual dejé de un lado el estrés de la cotidianidad, dejando el camino libre para desarrollar al máximo mi potencial creativo y al mismo tiempo capturando las realidades y detalles de una ciudad que es sencillamente increíble.
Caracas is a city that constantly appears in the media worldwide, where the central theme is usually the economy or politics, but very rarely show us the benefits of a city that grows despite the difficulties, which hides many artistic treasures and at the same time has one of the most interesting and complete architectural collections of the entire continent. In spite of the difficulties that the Venezuelan people have gone through in recent years, the capital continues to grow, since new buildings are being built and at the same time the existing ones are being restored and maintained, which gives us the great opportunity to enjoy an urban environment in very good condition, which allows us to admire the contrasts and beauties of an American city of the XXI century.
Caracas es una ciudad que suele aparecer constantemente en los medios de comunicación a nivel mundial, en donde el tema central suele ser la economía o la política, pero en muy pocas ocasiones nos muestran las bondades de una urbe que crece a pesar de las dificultades, que esconde numerosos tesoros artísticos y que al mismo tiempo cuenta con una de las colecciones arquitectónicas más interesantes y completas de todo el continente. A pesar de las dificultades que el pueblo venezolano ha atravesado a lo largo de estos últimos años la capital sigue creciendo, Ya que en sus espacios se elevan nuevas construcciones y al mismo tiempo se restauran y se mantienen las existentes, lo cual nos brinda la grandiosa oportunidad de disfrutar de un entorno urbano en muy buenas condiciones, que nos lo cual nos permite admirar los contrastes y bellezas de una ciudad americana del siglo XXI.
No matter what era we are in, no matter what city we are standing in, when it comes to urbanism and architecture I believe that black and white photography is our best tool, because through it we can express the realities and details of a complex social environment, which hides many secrets and great depth, which when captured in full color gives us as a result an extremely beautiful image, but at the same time full of distractions, therefore, by using only two tones and a great shade of shadows we can unravel every last feature of an image, which will allow us to travel through the photo and live in the flesh what the photographer and the city were feeling at that moment.
No importa en qué época nos encontremos, no importa en qué ciudad estemos parados, cuando se trata de urbanismo y arquitectura creo que la fotografía en blanco y negro es nuestra mejor herramienta, pues a través de ella podemos expresar las realidades y detalles de un entorno social complejo, el cual esconde muchos secretos y gran profundidad, el cual al ser capturado a todo color nos da como resultado una imagen extremadamente linda, pero al mismo tiempo llena de distracciones, por lo tanto, al usar solamente dos tonos y un gran matiz de sombras podemos desenmarañar hasta la última característica de una imagen, lo cual nos permitirá viajar a través de la foto y vivir en carne propia lo que el fotógrafo y la ciudad estaban sintiendo en ese momento.
