Wandering - MONOMAD || ENG-ESP

in Black And White2 years ago

Well, this will surely sound strange... But this morning I took my trusty old Nikon D7000 and attached a 300mm zoom lens to it.... I wanted to go bird photography, I swear that's what I intended to do, as the morning sun was wonderful and the sky a pristine blue. When the sunrise is like this, there are usually lots of birds visible from the country roads.

But, as soon as I stepped out onto the road to walk to the outskirts of the village, I realised that my "monochrome chip" seemed to be inserted in my head! .... So I ended up taking black and white photos and almost forgot about the birds altogether... It's my addiction, I admit it!... :-)

This is then my entry to today's #monomad challenge!...

The girl and her broken doll || La niña y su muñeca rota

This was perhaps the scene that triggered my "monochrome chip" that morning, for up to this point I had my camera in my bag and was walking briskly in the direction of the outskirts of town with my mind set on photographing some birds. But I stopped to say hello to the grandmother of this lovely little girl and then I couldn't resist taking a picture of her sitting there with her old broken doll.... Sometimes life is all eloquence and tenderness.

Gathering on the corner || Tertulia en la esquina

Then everything started to happen spontaneously... They are the same streets as always, but every day they offer different miracles and stories that are never repeated.

_JLP2345.jpg

Brothers || Hermanos

The streets are contrast, the streets are diversity, each element seems to be there with every intention of saying something. That's why it's very difficult to walk through the streets with a camera and not take a picture... At least that's the case for those of us who suffer from that kind of "photo mania" which is often so delightful.

Wandering through the streets can be relaxing, or at times unsettling, because it is also common to "bump head-on" into harsh realities, especially in towns like this one, where the local economy and governance are becoming increasingly precarious. In this street you can see a kind of barricade in the street, which is nothing more than the remains of a huge century-old tree that collapsed in recent days and left much of the village without electricity... After several days, the remains of the tree are still there and several areas of the neighbourhood are still without electricity.

Friend! || ¡Amigo!

Just as I was starting to brood too much, this beautiful little dog appeared on the side of the road just where the town ends.... Then I smiled for a while and turned my head away from the depressed streets of the village!.... I was already arriving at the country road leading to the countryside.

Chicken in the bag || El Pollo en la bolsa

Ok, this is weird... But the bag that guy is carrying on his bike, it squeaks!.... So I took a picture of it after it passed by me.... Hey!... He's got a chicken in his bag!... I could see his silhouette and backlit paw when I enlarged the photo.... Well, at least I can be sure I'm not going crazy and hearing squeaky bags! .... But... Poor chicken ... transported in a cloth bag! ;-)

¡Pobre pollo caray!... ¡Transportado en una bolsa de tela! ;-)

Poe's Birds || Las aves de Poe

Well, I finally took a photo of birds (apart from the one of the poor chicken in the bag).... But this photo is not exactly for a nature publication but... Instead it looks like something for an Edgar Allan Poe book cover... ha ha ha :-))

The photo you title "Dead Tree Street" and "Chicken in the Bag" are really cool. I really like this kind of pictures where you capture the essence of everyday life and it's super natural, plus when you apply the black and white it makes it even cooler. Amazing captures dude!

Amigo @jlinaresp !

Real life images look lively through your photos, dear friend @jlinaresp . Even though they were just black and white photos, I felt the vibrancy in them.
I was impressed with the photo of the girl sitting next to her doll and the father walking with the child.

Kudos! 👏🏾

Oh @kingdariusthe3rd friend, thank you very much for those motivating words.... Capturing street scenes is a lovely thing, and even more so when you do it in these villages far away from the big cities, where everything seems to happen "in another time scheme"... Many thanks again for your support and appreciation. I send hugs and greetings!

Keep up the good work, friend! 👏🏾
