Don't say I've been here before.
The sage said, "You will not enter the same river twice." And I came up with my own version of his famous saying: "You will not go to the same city twice."
Even if everything there seems to be the same, we are changing. We grow older. We become wiser or stupider, this is how it will turn out.
Cities are also getting older, but slower than we are. I notice that in my dear Zhovkva it is time to repair some old houses. I mean those that seem to have been restored. The photo lens is a tough judge of people and buildings. It notices the shortcomings, but at the same time enhances the beauty!
And there is so much of this beauty. The old Roman Catholic church, the Basilian monastery, an even more ancient synagogue, all sorts of gates and passages in the castle walls, my favorite Zhovkva "Leaning Tower" ...
And this monochrome of early, slightly gloomy spring. But already some warmth is floating in the air and that's why everything around seems so native and cozy!
I take pictures of details and dream of new secret places that I have not yet visited.
Не кажіть, що я вже тут була. Мудрець сказав: "Двічі в одну річку не ввійдеш". А я придумала свій варіант його знаменитого вислову: "Двічі в одне місто не зайдеш". Навіть, якщо все там здається однаковим, то змінюємось ми. Ми дорослішаємо і старішаємо. Стаємо мудрішими або дурнішими, це вже як вийде.
Міста теж старішають, але повільніше, ніж ми. Я помічаю, що у моїй дорогій Жовкві вже час ремонтувати деякі старовинні будинки. Я маю на увазі ті, які наче вже були відновлені. Фото об'єктив — жорсткий суддя людей і будівель. Він помічає недоліки, але водночас підсилює і красу!
А тут цієї краси так багато. Старий римо-католицький костел, василіанський монастир, ще древніша синагога, всякі брами і переходи у замкових мурах, моя улюблена жовківська "Пізанська вежа"...
І ця монохромність ранньої, трохи похмурої весни. Але вже якесь тепло витає в повітрі і тому все навколо здається таким рідним і затишним!
Я фотографую деталі і мрію про нові таємні місця,які я ще не відвідала.
