After a few months of absence, the chests make their return to Splinterlands.
Many had missed them and the element of surprise that you feel every time you open one, so the team has decided to remove the random draws - rarity draws are still available - and reintroduce the chests, albeit with a different system than the original one that is more similar to how random draws worked.
In the shop, there are in fact 3 separate chests available, with increasing cost and rarity: as the rarity of the chest increases, so does the chance of finding not only rarer cards, but also of winning one of the jackpot prizes available... prizes that are, in my opinion, quite exciting!
Titles, PLOT, Beta set packs and in future even Gold Foil cards! There is something for everyone and getting even one of these prizes alone can give a nice boost to the growth of your collection.
By the way, in the first few hours the update was available the chances of finding a jackpot prize were 10 times higher and many players managed to grab a good number of prizes... obviously I wasn't among them, despite having opened a good number of chests 😅
After finishing the last Season I also bought more chests, but without any luck.
For this Season I have therefore already used up the number of top-level chests I could buy for 2,500 GLINT and the cost of the next 10 has increased by 50%.
My options therefore now are:
- purchase rarity draws, or
- purchase intermediate level chests
I still haven't decided which to opt for, though perhaps the chests are the choice that tempts me the most.
Personally I actually really liked the random draws, since I could finally concentrate on Soulbound cards only, but the new system also has its merits and I still find it preferable to the old chests.
If I could then slowly complete all my Common and Rare card upgrades, nothing would stop me from concentrating on rarity draws, going to buy only those in which Epic and Legendary cards can be found.
With regard to the latter, in fact, there are still too many cards that I am missing or need to bring to level 2/3, so at some point it will probably be inevitable to purchase them.
P.s. While I was writing this post I couldn't resist and bought 50 intermediate level chests: no jackpot prize, but I took my first Summoner to level 6!

Dopo pochi mesi di assenza, i forzieri fanno il loro ritorno su Splinterlands.
In molti avevano sentito la loro mancanza e dell'elemento sorpresa che si prova ogni volta ad aprirne uno, per cui il team ha deciso di rimuovere i random draws - restano invece sempre disponibili i rarity draws - e reinserire i forzieri, sebbene con un sistema diverso da quello originario e più simile a come funzionavano i random draws.
Nello shop sono infatti disponibili 3 forzieri distinti, aventi costo e rarità crescente: all'aumentare della rarità del forziere corrisponde un maggior numero di possibilità di trovare non solo carte più rare, ma anche di ottenere uno dei premi jackpot messi a disposizione... premi che sono, a mio avviso, davvero allettanti!
Titoli, PLOT, pacchetti del set Beta ed in futuro anche carte Gold Foil! Ce n'è per tutti i gusti ed ottenere anche solo uno di questi premi può da solo contribuire a dare un bell'aiuto alla crescita della propria collezione.
Tra l'altro nelle prime ore in cui l'aggiornamento è stato reso disponibile le probabilità di trovare un premio jackpot era 10 volte più alta e molti giocatori sono riusciti ad accaparrarsi un bel numero di premi... ovviamente io non sono rientrato tra questi, nonostante abbia aperto un buon numero di chests 😅
Finita l'ultima Stagione ho anche acquistato altri forzieri, ma senza particolare fortuna.
Per questa Stagione ho quindi già esaurito il numero di forzieri di massimo livello che potevo acquistare per 2.500 GLINT ed il costo dei successivi 10 è aumentato del 50%.
Le mie opzioni quindi adesso sono:
- acquistare rarity draws, oppure
- acquistare forzieri di livello intermedio
Ancora non ho deciso per cosa optare, anche se forse i forzieri sono la scelta che mi tenta maggiormente.
Personalmente in realtà mi piacevano molto i random draws, dato che finalmente potevo concentrarmi sulle sole carte Soulbound, ma anche il nuovo sistema ha i suoi pregi e comunque mi sembra preferibile ai vecchi forzieri.
Se poi piano piano riuscissi a completare tutti i miei obiettivi di potenziamento delle carte Comuni e Rare, nulla mi impedirebbe di concentrarmi sui rarity draws, andando ad acquistare solo quelli in cui è possibile trovare carte Epiche e Leggendarie.
Riguardo a queste ultime, infatti, ci sono ancora troppe carte che mi mancano o che devo portare al livello 2/3, per cui ad un certo punto sarà probabilmente inevitabile procedere al loro acquisto.
P.s. nel mentre che scrivevo questo post non ho resistito ed ho acquistato 50 forzieri di livello intermedio: nessun premio jackpot, ma ho portato al livello 6 il mio primo Evocatore!
