El día de hoy comenzó mi rutina una vez más. Como mamá, siempre estoy pendiente de llevar y traer a mis hijos del colegio y de la universidad.
Las vacaciones terminaron para mi hija mayor, que está en la universidad. Los transportes públicos en Venezuela son un poco complicados, así que he decidido llevarla y traerla, ya que la institución queda a pocos minutos de nuestro hogar. Claro, también está la problemática de la gasolina, que es un gran desafío para los venezolanos actualmente, por lo que tengo que acudir a las gasolineras que ofrecen la internacional y pagar por ella.
Para poder surtir la subsidiada, hay que hacer largas colas. La verdad es que no cuento con el tiempo para estas, porque tengo compromisos tanto en el hogar como en el trabajo.
Hoy no salimos tan temprano. Sus clases empezaban a las nueve, así que a esa hora la llevé (salimos con algo de retraso debido a unos inconvenientes con el auto).
Nos acompañó nuestra fiel compañera y amiga, Petunia, que se comportó de manera excelente en el trayecto. No ladró ni una vez y fue tranquila, a pesar de que siempre quiere montarse en el lado del piloto. Parece que cree que puede manejar. Ella siempre nos acompaña a hacer compras y este tipo de diligencias.
Mi hija estudia comunicación social en la única universidad que ofrece esta carrera en la zona. Está en el 6to semestre, por lo que aún lleva la carrera por semestres, ya que para los nuevos ingresos será trimestral.
Comenzó a estudiar en la época de pandemia, así que ha asistido a clases presenciales por poco tiempo. En semestres anteriores usó transporte público, pero algunas malas experiencias nos hicieron decidir llevarla yo misma.
Las horas pasaron rápido, por lo que cuando me llamó para que la recogiera, sentí que fue en un instante.
Esta vez no llevé a Petunia, así que la busqué y tardó un poco en salir. Aproveché para tomar algunas fotos al lugar.
Para finalizar el día, tuvimos que hacer algunas diligencias y terminamos llegando a casa a las tres de la tarde. El calor estaba insoportable, lo que nos estresó un poco. Pero, al final, fue un buen día.

Today my routine began once again. As a mom, I'm always on the lookout to drop off and pick up my children from school and university.
Vacation ended for my eldest daughter, who is in college. Public transportation in Venezuela can be a bit tricky, so I've decided to drive her since the institution is just a few minutes away from our home. Of course, there's also the issue with gasoline, which is a significant challenge for Venezuelans nowadays. Therefore, I have to go to gas stations that offer international pricing and pay for it.
To get the subsidized gasoline, one has to stand in long lines. Honestly, I don't have the time for that, given my commitments both at home and work.
We didn't leave very early today. Her classes started at nine, so I drove her at that time (we left a bit late due to some car issues).
Our faithful companion and friend, Petunia, joined us. She behaved excellently on the trip. She didn't bark even once and remained calm, even though she always wants to jump in the driver's seat. It seems she believes she can drive. She always accompanies us on shopping trips and other errands.
My daughter is studying social communication at the only university in the area that offers this major. She's in her 6th semester, so she's still on a semester system, but for new students, it will be on a trimester basis.
She began her studies during the pandemic era, so she's only been attending in-person classes for a short while. In previous semesters, she used public transportation, but some bad experiences made us decide that I should drive her.
Time flew by, so when she called me to pick her up, it felt like no time had passed.
This time I didn't bring Petunia, so I waited for her, and she took a while to come out. I took the opportunity to snap some photos of the place.
To end the day, we ran some errands and ended up getting home at three in the afternoon. The heat was unbearable, which stressed us out a bit. But, in the end, it was a good day.
