Amist the suffering in the country and the state many with their evil habit still desire things get more worse for the Masses. I have often say it, that politicians has no interest of the public at heart except for their selfish gain.

The rate at which the price of things has increased is beyond measure, the only way is for the federal government and state governments to open up their reserve to help reduce the suffering in the country.

Despite every measure put in place to see that all this were done yielded no positive outcome.

It seems like tensions are brewing in Kogi State as Governor Usman Ododo and his predecessor, Yahaya Bello, find themselves at odds over the recent dismissal of the transition committee chairman of the Ofu local government area, Hassan Atawodi.

Atawodi, who was appointed by Bello on January 9th, 2024, was relieved of his duties by Governor Ododo, sparking what some are calling a "silent crisis" between the two leaders.

The reasons behind Atawodi's dismissal are not entirely clear, but speculation is rife, with political observers suggesting it may be linked to the alleged diversion of rice intended for distribution to the needy.

According to sources, the governor accused Atawodi of diverting 1,200 bags of rice, which the deputy governor reportedly seized but attempted to blame on the chairman.

Trouble reportedly began for Atawodi when he allegedly defied instructions from Deputy Governor Joel Salifu Oyibo, who hails from the same local government area as Atawodi.

Oyibo purportedly instructed Atawodi to distribute the rice to party stakeholders rather than to the intended recipients. Atawodi objected, deeming it insensitive given the economic hardships faced by the people.

The situation escalated when Atawodi allegedly ignored the deputy governor's directive and was subsequently barred from overseeing the rice distribution.

Instead, a loyalist of a former vice zonal chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Musa Muhammed Lawal, was appointed to take charge.

In a surprising turn of events, Governor Ododo swiftly replaced Atawodi with Lawal as the new transition chairman of Ofu Local Government Area.

Atawodi, believed to be a loyalist of former Governor Bello, is seen as a threat to the new administration, while another former ally of Bello, Hon. Alfa, has shifted allegiance to Governor Ododo.

The intricate details of the situation reveal a complex power struggle unfolding within Kogi State politics, as allegiances shift and tensions rise between key figures.
