Hello everyone and have a nice Saturday. Yesterday we went hiking and tried out a new tour. It was more kilometres than indicated on the signs, but that couldn't stop us from heading for one of the 243 Bismarck towers in Germany. And to our delight, it was even open.
We started at the edge of the forest and expected to find new beautiful scenery in every section of the forest we hiked, which had to be captured from time to time. The size of the forest presented us with a variety that enchanted us again and again. Our dog was also thrilled and didn't hesitate to run the almost 9 kilometres, which he really did manage. The smallest creatures can harbour an extraordinary power, and the dog was delighted with everything there was to discover - especially horse manure. That's why we gave him a bath after the hike. 😄
Hallo zusammen und allen einen schönen Samstag. Gestern waren wir wandern und haben eine neue Tour ausprobiert. Es waren zwar mehr Kilometer als auf den Schildern angegeben, aber das konnte uns nicht davon abhalten, auch einen der 243 in Deutschland existierenden Bismarcktürme anzusteuern. Und zu unserer Freude war er sogar geöffnet.
Wir starteten am Waldrand und erwarteten in jedem gewanderten Abschnitt des Waldes neue wunderschöne Bildkulissen, die auch ab und an festgehalten werden mussten. Durch die Größe des Waldes bot sich uns eine Vielfalt, die uns immer wieder verzauberte. Unser Hund war ebenfalls begeistert und ließ sich nicht lumpen, selbst die knapp 9 Kilometer zu laufen, die er wirklich geschafft hat. In den kleinsten Geschöpfen kann eine außergewöhnliche Kraft wohnen, und der Hund freute sich über alles, was es zu entdecken gab – vor allem Pferdemist. Daher gab es nach dem Wandern auch noch ein Bad für ihn. 😄
The real WOW moment came when we emerged from a section of forest and came across a valley where the world seemed to stand still for a moment. A yellow rapeseed idyll with a dreamlike meadow backdrop awaited us.
Der wirkliche WOW-Moment kam, als wir aus einem Waldabschnitt kamen und auf ein Tal trafen, wo die Welt für einen Moment stillzustehen schien. Eine gelbe Raps-Idylle mit traumhafter Wiesenkulisse erwartete uns.
In search of the aforementioned Bismarck Tower...
On our hiking route, we came across small, hidden details, such as this chicken, where we stopped for a moment to catch our breath. Then the path led us further along a really dull path that seemed to have no end. We longed to finally see the tower - and finally it happened. When we got there, we surveyed the area and saw that the door was open. Naturally, I called straight up to the tower and was told to go up. Without hesitation, we made our way up and met two nice women. They had the key to the tower with them and allowed us to visit.
The time was right for us, as we were in the right place at the right time with breaks and hiking. It was really marvellous, even though the trees now cover the tower and you can't see over them.
Auf der Suche nach dem besagten Bismarckturm...
Auf unserer Wanderroute stießen wir auf kleine, versteckte Details, wie dieses Huhn, bei dem wir einen Moment rasteten, um Luft zu holen. Dann führte uns der Weg weiter durch einen wirklich tristen Pfad, der kein Ende zu nehmen schien. Wir sehnten uns danach, den Turm endlich zu Gesicht zu bekommen – und schließlich geschah es. Als wir dort ankamen, begutachteten wir das Gelände und sahen, dass die Tür offen stand. Ich rief natürlich direkt nach oben zum Turm, worauf mir geantwortet wurde, ich solle hinaufsteigen. Ohne zu zögern, machten wir uns auf den Weg nach oben und lernten dabei noch zwei nette Frauen kennen. Sie hatten den Schlüssel für den Turm dabei und ermöglichten uns die Besichtigung.
Die Zeit stand für uns günstig, denn wir waren mit Pausen und Wandern genau zur richtigen Zeit am richtigen Ort. Es war wirklich herrlich, auch wenn die Bäume den Turm mittlerweile überlagern und man nicht über sie hinweg schauen kann.
An adventure on the sunny side...
Then we were brave and chose a path based on intuition. After the dreary section, we suddenly found ourselves on the sunny side - and it was by far the most beautiful part of our hike. At least that's how we felt. Although one of the most poisonous plants, the laburnum, was growing there, it adorned the path with its presence and gave it even more luminosity.
Ein Abenteuer auf der Sonnenseite...
Danach waren wir mutig und wählten einen Pfad nach Intuition. Nach dem tristen Abschnitt fanden wir uns plötzlich auf der Sonnenseite wieder – und es war bei weitem der schönste Teil unserer Wanderung. So empfanden wir es zumindest. Obwohl dort eine der giftigsten Pflanzen, der Goldregen, wucherte, zierte er den Pfad mit seiner Anwesenheit und verlieh ihm noch mehr Leuchtkraft.
Back at the starting point, we were all exhausted from the interval hike, but happy. The car then took us home again. I hope you are now motivated to go on a great hiking tour too. See you next time! 🌞🚶
Zurück am Ausgangspunkt waren wir alle vom Intervallwandern erschöpft, aber glücklich. Das Auto brachte uns dann wieder nach Hause. Ich hoffe, ihr seid nun motiviert, ebenfalls eine tolle Wandertour zu unternehmen. Bis zum nächsten Mal! 🌞🚶
