Good day, fellow hivers, welcome to my blog. I carried out my cleaning activity late in the evening. I had been busy at the church, so I got home very late.
Littering pollutes our environment and reduces the value, enjoyment, and accessibility of our public spaces, making our communities appear dirty and unpleasant to live in. Litter thrown in streets, along the roadside, or in the bush can be washed or blown into creeks and rivers, polluting land, waterways, and ocean environments. Littering has several negative effects on wildlife, they swallow litter, as well as facilitate the spread of diseases and pests.
Broken glass and sharp objects can injure or kill animals, and the ingestion of plastic and other pollutants by animals can disrupt their biological system and even lead to death.
littering landfills contributes to greenhouse gas emissions that lead to climate change, and pollute the atmosphere we breathe, and it's up to each of us to take responsibility for our waste and reduce littering in our communities. Remember, even tiny tweaks can have a big effect.
