My Entry to the POBPhotoContest - Purple || Púrpura [ENG/ESP]

“I think it pisses God off if you walk by the color purple in a field somewhere and don't notice it.”

Alice Walker

Purple || Púrpura

Purple is the color or range of colors obtained by mixing red and blue, being located between violet and crimson.

It is not a color commonly found in nature, being considered rare and intriguing, which is why it has always been related to royalty.

This color also has other meanings, being linked to wisdom, creativity, power, ambition and luxury, and can also represent magic, extravagance, peace, pride and independence.

A few years ago, while humanity was still a victim of the pandemic, I accompanied my mother, who is a member of a local garden club, to several nurseries, looking for flowers and various plant material, both for her small personal garden and the arrangements she usually makes for flower shows.

In one of the nurseries visited that day, I found this beautiful orchid belonging to the variety Cattleya mossiae, which was declared in 1951 as the National Flower of Venezuela, due to the diversity of shapes, sizes and colors, in addition to its beauty.

As I have described in previous publications, I used the editing tools offered by Picsart and Snapseed applications to intervene the original image to my satisfaction.

Hi @manuelgil64, very nice your garden photo!!!!! Purple is a fascinating color that has played an important role in art, religion, mythology and culture around the world for centuries. This color has deep symbolism and is often associated with spirituality, creativity, intuition and imagination. But purple also has a special meaning in nature, where it is associated with rare flowers and plants, as well as in the animal world, where it is often associated with transformation, strength and spirituality. Best of luck in the round!

Thank you very much! 😀

Not sure if I have seen this flower before, it looks beautiful. Your editing is beautiful.
The purple colour is one I love, especially for clothing.
