Hemipholiota populnea Šupinovka Zhoubná

in FungiFriday6 months ago

So on a hike I saw this strange mushroom growing quite high up on a tree. Strange because a normal polypore doesn't have a "leg" like a mushroom. It was very bright in the sun, so it was quite difficult to take a picture, but I managed it. If I identified it correctly, it has "pernicious" in its Czech name. Poor tree.

Chudák strom to má spočítané.

Usually mushrooms like this grow on the surface of the soil

Nature is incredible dear friend @birdwatcher it is always not surprising. What a strange place and way for this type of mushroom to grow. I appreciate you sharing this experience.
Have a great day

This is a very nice mushroom with a large umbrella and bony bone,I also often see this fungus growing on the surface of the soil , As @biancamaura said.

Nice, I always stop and take a couple of snap shot's of mushrooms too.
