Hello Everyone.
Today I decided to harvest the Green Crack auto-flowering cannabis plant.
The decision for when to harvest was based on the the visual appearance of the trichomes. Since I see an ample amount of amber trichomes, I felt the timing was good.
The plant filled a triple tier drying net, and couldn't fit anymore without stacking buds, so I hung the top bud in the small tent. The triple tier drying net felt pretty heavy from these resinous buds.
The smell from this plant is much skunkier than previous plants that I've grown, and this is definitely the biggest plant I've ever grown.
I'm super excited to try this Green Crack out when it is dried.
We'll play guess the weight on this one.

Auto? Oh wow that's the exact reason you have yield issues. Ruderalis isn't a yield or a quality plant...

I avoid any frankenweed that's an "auto".
Which is awesome because I can clone my plants and keep good phenotypes on hand...

Truth be told I don't even care what my yields are these days.. I'm just trying to hone in my abilities so that I can grow better quality bud. Quality over quantity is my agenda.
I do prefer photoperiod over ruderalis but also find the autos fun sometimes. My autos were a gift and offer some special traits so I'm enjoying growing them. Nothing beats the photos and ability to clone, I agree.

Cannabis growers usually feel the same way because of attachment to the plant, but when the time comes it is an inevitable part of its life process.
