I say this not because Varadero cannot have such a place, but because this is not one of the most important coffee-growing regions of the country.
Well, today I will tell you my appreciation of the Casa del Café, which is in the most important sun and beach destination in Cuba and one of the best in the world.
When I arrived at the boulevard of this place, I saw several facilities dedicated to the sale of various products. But one thing that caught my attention was the existence of houses specialized in the main lines of the Cuban economy and that identify us internationally. In the place there is the House of Tobacco, the House of Chocolate, the House of Rum, a pizzeria, the House of seafood, a playground, a place for the sale of beer, markets and others.
However, it was impossible not to see the beautiful, imposing and very well decorated Casa del Café.
I immediately noticed the good taste of whoever designed the facility because the simple look of the place gives you the idea of being in an institution where the culture of detail is taken care of. Everything you see on the walls and in the display cases is related to coffee, there is a perfect mix between industrially produced coffee and the beans harvested by artisan coffee growers.
In the place you will find varieties of coffee in their packages, but you will also find coffee beans in their sacks.
With the coffee beans you can find a map of Cuba, a couple in love and all kinds of unimaginable figures.
On the walls is drawn a map that shows you the different coffee routes, but the really cool thing is that it is made simulating coffee beans. You can also see the different utensils used to prepare the coffee and other utensils used in the elaboration process. In that map there is a phrase that seems to me of a genius and an almost absolute truth and it says:
“Life is like a cup of coffee. It's all in how you prepare it, but above all in how you drink it”.

What I liked the most about the place was the decoration and that decoration based on coffee and art.
The map is a marvel as well as everything else there.
It is already a place I will return to as soon as I go to Varadero.
