PhotoFeed Contest - Landscapes - Millaa Millaa Lookout

in PhotoFeed9 months ago

I just came home from a 3 week road trip up the australian east coast to cairns. 3 weeks in a tent, campervan and motels, 5.000km on the road and plenty of photos and experiences.

One place where we´ve spent quite some time were the Atherton Tablelands with its many waterfalls and creeks to swim in. One day we randomly stopped at this lookout that we haven´t done any research about before.

Turned out to be one of the most beautiful views on this trip. It might not look as spectacular as other photos I made on this trip but the atmosphere was simply amazing.

That place was truly special and since we were the only ones up there we enjoyed every second without being disturbed. The old wooden fence and the old tree made it even more picturesque. I love places like this one where you can just pull up with your car, sit there and enjoy the view without talking to each other.

There was only one thing that was really strange about this place and a bit funny as well. There was a car parked (allegedly stolen) with a Police Sticker from January already on the windscreen. The windows were smashed and it looked very messy inside the car. Then we spotted it, a Chris Isaak CD and a little zipper bag with a tooth in it! :) WTF!!!

We jumped back into our car and put Chris Isaak - Wicked Game on the speakers...turned out to be the fitting track for this place :)

Other people turned up and ruined our private party but it was fun while it lasted.
