Hive Learners Weekend Thread Contest | Week - 027

in Hive Learners4 months ago

Hello everyone! This is week-27 of the Weekend Threading powered by InLeo.

Our aim in the Hive Learners community is to promote engagement, interaction, and fun while also providing a healthy environment for Hivers to grow and explore their potential. And in that light, we bring to you yet another initiative to spur another form of creativity and camaraderie among users in the community:

ℍ𝕀𝕍𝔼 𝕃𝔼𝔸ℝℕ𝔼ℝ𝕊 𝕎𝔼𝔼𝕂𝔼ℕ𝔻 𝕋ℍℝ𝔼𝔸𝔻𝕀ℕ𝔾

Generally, the idea is to thread, thread, and thread your way this weekend surrounding the topic given—which we will get to in a minute—engage with other threads by other users, and promote the spirit of engagement. It's a fun activity, and we invite you to join in.

One special comment: many users were using outsourced pictures or photographs, which is not forbidden if the member shares the source of the image.

For last week's topic, "You witness a heated argument between two strangers in a public place. Things escalate quickly, and it's clear they might become physical. What would you do? Share your response and reasoning in a thread (or threadstorm, preferably)." We had a good number of entries and we there are a few that we would like to highlight and reward, just like we mentioned in our announcement post last weekend. The topic made people tell stories about heated moments that they witnessed.

Winners

@george-dee

...shared a bit about his experience in the capital of Nigeria, Lagos. Lagos is known to be a place where it is difficult to not fight for a whole day. The user also shared a picture of two bears battling which mostly represents how humans behave in a heated moment like that. He also added that he wouldn't interfere in any heated moment between two strangers since he knows people who got hurt. Find his threadstorm here.

@oluwa-tosin

...different from the first user, this user prefers to interfere in a heated argument and mentioned some strategies to act as a peacemaker. The first thing is trying to advise them to calm down, but if it doesn't work, she can start to talk with both sides to try to understand the cause. This type of interference works to calm the nerves down. Find her thread here.

@aaalviarez

... refers also to avoiding these conflicts, he gave good reasons such as having a company that can be harmed as well, probably a child or a wife/girlfriend/partner. In addition, gunshots can also be used in these fights and they are lethal. The user was also advised to not record the fight with a mobile device, as these recordings always show up on the internet. He doesn't want this type of video with him. Find his threadhere.
