While the whole world was confined to their homes, even the household members were socially distant from each other. In this scenario, digital media became everyone's companion, sharing their sorrows and joys, becoming an integral part of their daily routine at a pace never witnessed before in the past 20 years. While it seemed like people were trapped within the confines of their homes, in actuality, a grand world was unfolding before them. They were observing themselves becoming intricately intertwined in a world freed from the shackles of distance.

During the days of COVID, while a significant number of people were engaged on social media, there were also some naive individuals who failed to seize this opportunity. These included elderly individuals who had experienced the nuances of life and now sought simplicity. Our parents fall into this category. Initially, schools, colleges, and universities were completely shut down. However, as the hiatus continued, everyone shifted their attention towards the online education system. Then came the era of endless memes and jokes, revealing how the younger generation surpassed the seriousness of lectures delivered by older professors, unfamiliar with online education systems. For them, this system was nothing short of torture. On the other hand, parents couldn't believe that their children were actually studying on computers or mobile phones. For them, it seemed like more fun than learning.

کورونا کے دنوں میں جہاں لوگوں کی ایک بڑی تعداد سوشل میڈیا پر امڈ آئی. وہیں کچھ ایسے بھولے بھالے لوگ بھی تھے، جنہوں نے اس فرصت کے موقع سے بھی فائدہ نہیں اٹھایا اور تاحال بھی وہ اس نئی دنیا سے تقریباً ناآشنا ہیں. ان لوگوں میں یا تو بڑی عمر کے وہ لوگ شامل ہیں جو اپنی زندگی کی رونقیں دیکھ چکے ہیں اور اب سادگی سے بقیہ زندگی گزارنا چاہتے ہیں. اسی کیٹیگری میں ہمارے والدین آجاتے ہیں. مجھے یاد ہے پہلے پہل تو سکول کالجز اور یونیورسٹیز نے مکمل شٹ ڈاؤن کیا. مگر جب چھٹیوں کا سلسلہ طول پکڑتا گیا تو بالآخر سب کی توجہ آنلائن ایجوکیشن سسٹم کی طرف گئی. پھر نہ ختم ہونے والے لطیفوں اور میمز کا دور آ گیا. جس میں ہم یہ دیکھا کہ جدید نسل نے کیسے سنجیدہ اور بڑی عمر کے پروفیسرز کے لیکچرز سے جان چھڑائی. وہ ٹیچرز جو بلیک بورڈ یا وائٹ بورڈ پر پڑھانے کے عادی تھی اور آنلائن ایجوکیشن سسٹم سے آشنا نہ تھے. ان کے لیے یہ سسٹم کسی عذاب سے کم نہ تھا. دوسری جانب وہ والدین تھے جنہیں یہ یقین نہ آتا تھا کہ ان کے بچے واقعی کمپیوٹر یا موبائل پر پڑھائی کر رہے ہیں. ان کے نزدیک یہ پڑھائی کم اور مذاق زیادہ تھا.

Indeed, we witnessed a significant transformation over time. Tablets and mobile phones replaced books and copies in the hands of children. I won't dwell on the pros and cons of this transition because everyone knows that while these devices provided educational opportunities, they also snatched away childhood. Parents resorted to online education to continue their children's learning, but the children turned it into a means of wasting time. Hence, I was discussing how the online classes during the COVID era led to a major educational revolution. Zoom meetings, Google Meet, and similar applications, previously unknown to people, became commonplace. Live sessions for hours became easily accessible. The inclination towards digital courses, digital skills, and freelancing surged, providing not just education but also a strong economic support.
تعلیمی انقلاب:
خیر. رفتہ رفتہ دیکھتے ہی دیکھتے سب کچھ بدل گیا. بچوں کے ہاتھوں میں کتابوں کاپیوں کی جگہ ٹیبلیٹ اور موبائلز نے لے لی. میں اس کے فوائد اور نقصانات پر بات نہیں کروں گا. کیونکہ سبھی جانتے ہیں کہ ان موبائلز اور ٹیبلیٹ جیسی ڈیوائسز نے جہاں طلبہ کو پڑھائی کے مواقع فراہم کیے وہیں ان کا بچپن ان سے چھین لیا. پڑھائی کی آڑ میں پھر بے شمار چیزیں انہیں میسر آگئیں. ماں باپ نے تو پڑھائی کرنے کے لیے موبائل حوالے کیا مگر بچوں نے اسے وقت برباد کرنے کا ذریعہ بنا لیا. تو میں یہ بات کر رہا تھا کہ کورونا کے دوران ہونے والی آنلائن کلاسز نے ایک بڑا تعلیمی انقلاب برپا کر دیا ہے. زوم میٹنگ، گوگل میٹنگ اور اس جیسی دیگر ایپلیکیشنز جن کے بارے میں پہلے لوگوں کو آگہی نہیں تھی. اب بآسانی گھنٹوں گھنٹوں لائیو سیشنز ہوتے ہیں. ڈیجیٹل کورسز، ڈیجیٹل سکلز اور سب سے زیادہ فری لانسنگ کی طرف لوگوں کا رجحان بڑھا تو تعلیم کے ساتھ ساتھ ایک مضبوط معاشی سہارا بھی تیار ہوتا چلا گیا.

The distance learning system not only enhanced learning and understanding abilities but also brought about a significant economic change in society. Initially, people were unfamiliar with digital skills. Many believed that one couldn't earn a single penny from the internet; it was all fraud, deception, and lies. However, when physical shops closed, businesses collapsed, they saw that online earners were still earning, and now even doubled. So, they started believing in the world of the internet. When physical stores closed, online stores opened, leading to a major revolution in e-commerce markets worldwide. E-commerce flourished, stabilizing the declining economies of countries, providing people with necessary goods at their doorstep. Consequently, people realized that things could be ordered online, and this trend became popular.

If you can't attend physical classes, you have the convenience of listening to online lectures. Moreover, now, there's a growing interest among people in online courses offered by big companies like Google and Microsoft. Understanding this system can bring us many benefits that we were unaware of. Therefore, my analysis of this system is quite positive, and I hope that it will advance further in the future, providing more opportunities for education, employment, and welfare for people.

گوکہ فاصلاتی نظام تعلیم شروع میں تو مؤثر طریقے سے کامیاب نہ ہو سکا. لوگوں نے جلدی اسے قبول نہیں کیا مگر اب آہستہ آہستہ یہ نظام مجبوری اور اشد ضروری بنتا چلا جا رہا ہے. حتیٰ کہ ہمارے سکولز کی چھوٹی کلاسز کے بچوں کا ہوم ورک بھی ان کے ٹیچرز واٹس ایپ گروپ میں بھیج دیتے ہیں. کوئی بھی اعلان ہو تو قبل از وقت اطلاع بآسانی پہنچ جاتی ہے. اگر آپ فزیکلی کلاس میں حاضر نہیں ہو سکے تو آپ کو آنلائن لیکچر سننے کی سہولت مل جاتی ہے. اور تو اور اب تو گوگل اور مائکروسافٹ جیسی بڑی بڑی معروف کمپنیوں کے آنلائن کورسز کی جانب بھی لوگوں کا رجحان بڑھ گیا ہے. اس کے علاوہ بھی یوٹیوب اور دیگر پلیٹ فارمز سے لوگ دھڑا دھڑ سیکھ رہے ہیں. یہ سب کمال ہے فاصلاتی نظام تعلیم کا، جس نے ایک نئے جہان سے لوگوں کو متعارف کروایا.

In summary, although the distance learning system has generated some negative effects in our new generation, it has also alleviated their burdens by providing opportunities for work without the need for arduous labor. it was always there tho but covid helped pushed us to adapt. i still think it's better tho for students to go to class and not do e-learning.
Humans adapt to whatever life throws at them. While physical classes are preferable, online classes can be beneficial for those in regions where education is difficult or expensive to access, among many other positive and negative aspects. Thank you for the feedback.
that's true but it also depends on what you're learning too as well. some courses really need physical cuz of labs (science), medical. I wouldn't want anybody to be my nurse or doctor if they were 100% learning from just online xD

i think corona period was period of deterioration which actually deteriorated every aspect of life. Either it's economy or family bond. Corona has still long lasting impacts on our lives.
But a little thanks to corona period that I got a little acquaintance about online earning and about cryptocurrency!
Everything has a positive and negative side. We met because of Corona, and some people lost their loved ones. I still have foggy memories from the Covid days. It's as if someone wiped out most of my memories. There was nowhere to go, so we didn't have many memories to cherish. Every day was almost the same.
Online opportunities and facilities were existing even before coeona but people were not very used of them. Some of them didn't rely on those opportunities. The corona period gave people the opportunity to realize the existence of these faciliies. Moreover, it was the time when many people understood that the crypto was a real thing.
So far as distant learning is concerned, I had to face a great level of stress as my kids were getting online classes. Neither the teacher nor the students knew how to navigate in that new environment. Education was nearly giving nothing but just a burden.

Certainly, it is not inherently flawed. We just didn't understand how to navigate in that environment. We were lacking on the skills needed for the purpose.

I personally think the COVID 19 caused a lot of reassessment and changes in approach as regards education and dispensing of education materials and informations. This caused a lot amenities (take zoom for example) to be put in place to foster delivery of educational informations without actual physical one on one contact.
Moreover, many online businesses made it big during the corona. Zoom as a case study had one of the highest app usage during the corona and it has been around even before the corona having roughly an insignificant popularity
From Zoom, I also learned that big fish can easily eat small fish. Our university staff and students were upgraded to Microsoft accounts for free. However, after a few months to a year, we switched to Google Meet. In the end, the big fish got all the cherries.
