A LOVELY EXPERIENCE I HAD IN UGWAJI COMMUNITY, ENUGU STATE.

Wow! What an amazing view. Fortunately, this is Fiajii Street in Ugwaji community, which is located in the southern part of Enugu Local Government Area, Enugu State, Nigeria. Though it looks under-developed, it's a very nice and peaceful environment with favourable weather conditions ranging from 25°C when cold to 35°C on sunny days and a land mass of about 35,000 kilometres square. I came to visit my friend who lives here and decided to explore the community as it was captivating to me. I have been here for just two weeks and have been able to explore the community within the time frame so here are some interesting things about the community and its people. It's indeed a nice place and I'd like to share some fascinating things I noticed during my visit.

I observed the community had a lot of trees and plants around, indicating that most of its residents are farmers either as an occupation or just for household use. The temperature range is favorable for cultivating crops which is of great benefit to the farmers. Harsh weather conditions that may likely occur include either heavy rainfall, mostly in the evening, and high sunny temperature, mostly in the afternoon. This however isn't too harmful to the crops as the area isn't heavily waterlogged after the rainfall, and the harsh sunny temperature doesn't last for long. So this enables their crops to bloom efficiently. It's a nice environment with lots of beautiful trees from place to place which gives this cooling effect especially when the sun is scorching. The natural view around has this nice, soothing as you explore around it.

Also, the people who live there are very friendly, peaceful and warm-welcoming. It probably has a population of 30,000 people living harmoniously with over 5,000 buildings. Individuals who dwell here are mostly the Igbos( average 85%), a few Yorubas, Hausas, and some from the south-southern part of Nigeria. The most spoken language here is the indigenous Igbo language, English language and most fluently, the Pidgin language. People who live here are very nice, accommodating, loving, caring, good-hearted and generous. They are friendly and free to anyone.

Furthermore, the people of Ugwaji are successful in two activities; Agriculture and Trading. Based on agriculture, as I said earlier, they are good and hardworking farmers as their climate condition supports it. However, in terms of trading, Ugwaji residents are very good businessmen and women. They take their businesses very seriously which also makes them successful. A normal man in Ugwaji goes to work or his business as early as possible as the community becomes busy from 8 am as people are seen going about their different daily activities, making it a lively community. What a lively atmosphere!

Honestly,I really did enjoy my stay in Ugwaji community. From this post you could agree with me that it's really a nice environment with a beautiful atmosphere. It's really a nice place you could visit if you're interested though. I look forward to visiting there some other time.
