Love Your Neighbor

Hello here once again!

In this episode, I'd love to announce that I wish genuine kindness would be brought back to this world because it seems like the human race has almost lost it.

Once upon a time I used to blame the government for everything negative that befell me and those I loved. Well, as a child I always watched adults blame the government for everything little thing that happened that happened and I grew up with the idea that the government is the reason for the amount of pain and suffering that people are going through in this country not knowing that the government is just a structure and it's actually the individuals that occupy that structure that have a hand in whatever is happening.

As I kept growing, I realized that it's really not just the individuals that occupy seats in high places that actually wreak havoc because all they do is orchestrate it while the masses who should be their brother's keeper help to carry out their evil machinations.

There's a popular saying that goes thus:

“Change begins with you.."

It doesn't say that change begins with the government first, but with us as individuals. Sadly, no one is willing to put effort into being better as everyone is after their personal gains even at the expense of others. It is sad indeed.

As time goes by, the rate of man's inhumanity to his fellow man is alarming and scary. Everyday on the news I hear of a horror true life story of how an individual or group of individuals just decide to commit atrocities without thinking of the effect on their neighbors or brothers. No one wants to care for the next person except if it'll profit them.

There are cases when someone would be in dire need and the people around would just not care enough to lift a finger.

There was an incident which involved a really young man falling to the ground in his faculty filled to the brim with students. The young man obviously passed out due to the intense heat and probably other factors like hunger. He fell to the ground and the first thing that people did was to bring out their phones in order to film an unconscious man lying on the ground.

Everyone around him brought out their phones in a bid to be the first to inform various broadcasting channels about recent happenings in the university. It was a lecturer who noticed the commotion happening and was able to revive the young man and rush him to the school's medical center for proper examination and treatment. The lecturer was visibly angry with the response of the students and all she could do was scold them.

That incident and people's reaction to it made me realize just how bad it has gotten. The young man could have lost his life as he was slowly slipping away and all people would have done would be to share his video with captions like:

“RIP.."

Or…

"”University stress kills.."

and other corny, annoying captions.

When his death could have been prevented. Thankfully he was revived and he can go about his duties and concerns now with the hope that something like passing out in public doesn't happen to him ever again.

As humans, we're supposed to care for one another without thinking of the cost. The problems affecting us are not from the government, instead it stems from the harm that individuals cause their fellow individuals on purpose!

We need to be kinder in order to move forward as a people because this lack of concern will continue to do more harm than good as humans evolve.

I do not want to start recounting incidents in which people have been deliberately evil to their neighbor and even family members because it's not going to end. It'll end when a collective effort is made to improve one's character, the government cannot do that for us which means that the power to change is in our hands and nowhere else.

In all that we do let us be conscious of the other person because every action has a reaction and though we might not be hit directly but other people will and it's not fair to cause great discomfort to others just to satisfy our pleasures.

I really do wish that the world would become a better place one day.

Currently, people are more concerned with documenting with their cell phones terrible events that affect people, but do not help them or do not assist them even for an act of humanity, they are afraid to be affected, there are cases in which we help a stranger in the street and we end up prisoners in headquarters, they rebuke us because we help and what interest we have with that stranger, thus creating a culture of panic in which fear we do not help others. Empathy has been lost and with it part of our humanity. It is necessary to sensitize people and authorities not to lose compassion and the ability to help others.

People do not care about others again. All they are after is to first carry out a rumor instead of showing concern to the affected. Kindness is something that has gone out of a lot of people and if only things could go back the way it has been in the past, the world would be safe to live in with us showing affection to one another.

Your concern is my concern too dear, this is so terrible. I has an experience with someone that has spanned from last year till now...hmmmm, most people just care for their own interest which is so bad. I hope love will be restored too my dear.

I think of these things always and the more I ponder, the more I see that humans have gone far and the probability of changing to the change with are hoping for is totally zero. We are growing bad and weird everyday 💔

Welcome back again.
Hope you came with bread?

This is such a bad news and to add to that we are so callous in this country, the only thing they could do is to do video while people's lives are in danger, I remember one video I saw on Facebook where this old man jumped from the bridge inside the river, people that surrounded him were making video of him which suppose not to be so.

I wish we could love each other in this country because everything is not all about our government.

Everything is not the government, sometimes we are part of the problem and indeed change begins with us all.
