I live naked and barefooted, very close to Earth and Nature, in an 18-acre, off-grid, clothing-optional, food-forest intentional community (GaiaYoga Gardens), way out in the jungles of Lower Puna, far East Big Island, Hawai'i, and I have for more than 5 years now. One of my 2024 Life Goals (which can he seen near the bottom of these posts) is to prepare regular batches of my medicinal teas collected from the land again, which is something that I've very much wanted to do since I returned to GaiaYoga Gardens (after my 5 months and 10 days living off property in Seaview and Nanawale) over a year and a half ago. In that time I have made a few batches, both for myself and others, but it has not been anywhere near as regular and consistent as I've been wanting. It's mostly an issue of time, since between what I do on Hive, and land work here, I don't have much to spare.
These potent medicinal tea combinations are exceedingly beneficial and supportive of health and healing, as I can attest from years of working with them myself, and the feedback that I receive from others. They are very good for the human system, and can help heal almost anything. It's exactly for this reason that devoting time to producing them consistently has been so high on my list. If I don't just prioritize and make time for them, weeks and months go by between batches, so that's what I felt inspired and motivated to do yesterday, after straining out and blending kefir (kefir-honey-cinnamon-cacao), and taking photos for these posts.
Thankfully the weather was sunny and warm as I walked around the property collecting the various cultivated (ones I planted) and wild plants for the blend. Most of my recent tea batches have been rather simple, with 10 different plants or fewer, but yesterday I felt strongly drawn to include quite a few more species in a more-complex synergy. After collecting the myriad plants in a large stainless-steel bowl, I washed them in the Landing, chopped them, put the chopped plants into 4 half-gallon Mason jars, then added just-boiled water into the jars, to steep for the night. I strained out the first round this morning, and added another round of hot water to steep again, which I'll do one more time, before combining all three rounds in one of my giant stainless-steel pots this evening, then divying up the final blend into half-gallon jars, and putting them in the Landing fridge to drink during the week.
I've already had multiple people asking me if they could have some, so I'll share at least some with others here. My body has been craving these teas so much, so I want to make sure I have enough for myself to drink over the week. I think that I just need to make time to collect and prepare these glorious teas once per week, maybe on Tea Tuesdays. I'm so excited to savor some tonight, after the straining-and-mixing process is complete! Yay for more of my magical medicinal teas!
I left the Flow House yesterday, Wednesday, a little after 2PM, putting my focus first on straining out and blending kefir and taking photos for these posts (as I mentioned above), then, of course, I devoted myself to collecting and preparing my medical tea. Once I had the jars of tea steeping for the night, I spent a few hours with Iolanthe (Ano and Melekai's 11-year-old daughter), who asked me if I would make her some food, and to hang out with her for a while. I made her a cheeseburger and some garlic bread, both made in my special way (super delicious!). The burger was large and filling, so she couldn't finish it, so I enjoyed half of it. After she ate, and I pushed her on her swing in Tutu's for bit, I finally returned to the Flow House, after stopping by the Landing to collect my jar of leftover superfood fire coffee and some water, around 8PM, to begin my evening round of Hive takes and catching up on my notifications. Since I started so late, and because I had a lot of notifications, I was only able to get to within 18 hours of being fully caught up before I needed to go to sleep. I went to bed a little after 11:30PM, not sleeping as well as I would have liked, waking up a little after 3AM, unable to sleep. I did a round of token management, before making another partially successful attempt at sleep. I finally started again on Hive around 6AM, catching up a little more on my notifications, beginning on this post, then getting out of bed around 8AM to go strain out the first round of my medical tea blend and make my superfood fire coffee.
It's just before 1:15PM now, so a great time to end this post, so that I can get to a few important Hive tasks, maybe catch up some more on my notifications, before leaving the Flow House later in the afternoon, to first strain out and blend kefir, strain out the second round of medical tea and fill the jars with one more round of hot water, take more photos for these posts, then land work. 2024 Life Goals
1.) Heal my broken heart, reignite my heart sun, and embody a solid, healthy masculine, allowing my electric fire to shine bright, no matter what others, especially women, say or do.
2.) Bring myself and my life back into balance, integration, and wholeness.
3.) Do regular (naked) integral practices again, alone or with others.
4.) Dance regularly again.
5.) Work with natural entheogens (mushrooms, ganja, ayahuasca), with punctuated regularity, as a part of my healing process again.
6.) Get, and keep, regular deep, integral energy-body-tantric work healing sessions for women flowing again.
7.) Prepare regular batches of my medicinal teas collected from the land again.
8.) Make my plant nursery beautiful again.
9.) Live as an integral part of a juicy heart-resonant soul tribe community, with deep, coherent mutual and shared passion, purpose, mission, love, warmth care, sweetness, reverence, respect, aliveness, admiration, excitement, enjoyment, playfulness, work, fun, laughter, attraction, and all-level connections and relationships.
10.) Make love with the woman, or the women, that I love, every day, as a sacred devotional practice.
11.) Begin learning relevant coding/programming languages to more fully contribute to the sovereignty-driven technologies where I am active, like Arch Linux, Hive, Qortal, DeSo, and Bastyon.
