Greetings to the walkers of this Wednesday challenge, this time I went with my son to walk part of downtown Caracas and we started from the National Pantheon.
Saludos a los caminantes de esto reto de los miércoles, en esta ocasión me fuí con mi hijo a recorrer parte del Centro de Caracas y comenzamos desde el Panteón Nacional.
In this place are the remains of many outstanding characters of the history of Venezuela. In this place there was a church that was demolished by the earthquake of 1812 and now there is this structure that was inaugurated in 1875.
En este lugar están los restos de muchos personajes resaltantes de la historia de Venezuela. En este lugar se encontraba una iglesia que fue derribada por el terremoto de 1812 y ahora está esta estructura que se inauguró en 1875.
A year later, the remains of Simón Bolívar, who for us and many Latin Americans is recognized as the Liberator, were moved here. This space was decorated by the painter Tito Salas, who also painted the birthplace of the Liberator.
Un año después se trasladaron los restos de Simón Bolívar que para nosotros y muchos latinomericanos es reconocido como el Libertador. Este espacio fue decorado por el pintor Tito Salas, qiuen también pintó la casa Natal del Libertador.
In 2012 a sort of annex to the Pantheon was built with modern architecture, where the remains of Simón Bolívar rest, called Mausoleo del Libertador (Mausoleum of the Liberator).
En el 2012 se construyó una especie de anexo al Panteón con arquitectura moderna, en donde reposan los restos de Simón Bolívar, llamada Mausoleo del Libertador.
After the National Pantheon we walked to the house of the Liberator, this walk is very nice and I recommend it for those who are in Caracas for a visit or as a tourist.
Luego del Panteón Nacional caminamos a la casa del Libertador este paseo es muy lindo y lo recomiendo para quienes estén en Caracas de visita o turista.
