Wednesday Walk - Spring Flowers

The spring flowers are out for this #wednesdaywalk by @tattoodjay

There is a nice lilac park in a suburb nearby that we like to visit. We were hoping to see lilacs blooming but it is still too early.

Fortunately there were a bunch of tulips blooming instead.

At first I thought the lilacs were blooming because I could smell the hyacinth. Once you get close to them you can tell they are something different in smell compared to lilacs.

My kid is walking quite well now and she even got some running time in. I thought she would rush to pick a tulip.

Instead of the bright flowers she was focused on something different. A tiny pine cone. Who cares about those bright colory flowers when there is a tiny pine cone to be had.

There were quite a few different bright colors out like this red orange tulip.

These guys were just opening, hopefully next week I can back to see them in peak condition.

Whites, purples and reds were mixed here.

The daffodils were mixed with a few tulips here. I'm not sure if this area was just an untended area with cross pollination of random flowers as it was just an embankment on the edge of the park.

Daffodils are in peak bloom now. Perhaps by next week the lilacs will be blooming and this whole place will smell amazing.

That's all for now, thanks for looking :-)

Wow great flower shots. We are a ways behind here. You can't direct kids curiousity lol you can only go with the flow. My young cousins (4 years old) lasting impression of the eclipse was the muddy field and messy boots 😁

Ohh yeah mud is quite memorable for a kid. I vaguely remember being little and my parents trying to keep me awake to see a comet (possibly Haley's). All I remember was being mad about them waking me up and I don't remember anything about the comet lol.

Gorgeous flowers :)
arent kids funny we would think she was running to grab a flower but it was the pine cone that caught heere ye

Thanks for joining the Wednesday Walk :)
Have a great day :)

Probably for the best as there were lots of signs saying "don't pick the flowers" lol. I think my wife was able to train her to not mess with the houseplants so she probably thought those flowers were something not to mess with. Pinecones are free for the taking though lol.

good morning dear friend @sketch.and.jam how are you
How great to have this place close to your house, where you can see this colorful beauty
It is evident that your daughter enjoys the place, even if her real attraction is not the flowers.
Thank you very much for sharing this beautiful and colorful experience.

She loved running in the grass since it is nice and soft if she accidentally trips.

Those tulips must have been stunning! When I saw the hyacinths, my first thought was, boy it must have smelled good there! Funny about your child and the pine cone. :))

Thankfully she didn't want to crash through the flowers or pick them. She even got to pet her first puppy there.

How cool is that! I love the “firsts” of little kids. :))
