The boys at Top Drift🏎️

in Life Stories2 months ago

During year end long holiday, initially we decided to go further for some activities for the kids, but in the end, due to unforeseen circumstances, we made do with the one nearest to us.

Top Drift!

This is the lower range of go-kart, apparently this is special in a sense it is a drift kart if you like drifting. It is located at Melawati Mall at 3rd Level, Lot 17A-17B. And it opens from 10am till 10pm, the usual mall's operating hours.

Let's Check It Out!

It is spacious enough for beginners. It has a lot of tables and chairs for waiting areas as well as hanging around. We approached the counter to make payment and to seek some information. After a short chat, my husband and boys decided to go for 16 laps. I was not in the mood of playing, so I became spectators.

The counter for information and payment was nicely done and all the staffs were friendly and helpful.

There even had a playland for toddlers and parents here, free of charge.

The setting of the whole area is clean, and I love the simple non-complicated paths here. The tyres as usual were arranged for driving safety.

Let's Go!

Finally, it was their turn. Firstly, they were asked to wear safety helmet especially for young boys. The adults and older kids could opt not to wear.

Then, the detailed briefing section by the person-in-charge, teaching them which was accelerator and which was brake. And even taught my husband how to drift.

1...2...3...Action!!!

The guys had started driving! Initially three of them were driving close by one another. Gradually, when each was comfortable with own pace and speed, then they drove on their own according to their own speed.

Of course, my husband was the fastest. He even tried to drift but could not get the gist of it. Nonetheless, he enjoyed driving too for the sake of accompanying the boys, he preferred the real real go-kart.

I was enjoying watching them from the watching zone, relaxing and also mind my own business. 16 laps were quite long for me. But to them, the boys said they could go another round!!!! Wow! But it was not cheap, so we said no!

Dining at Banana Bro!

After Top Drift, my eldest son was super hungry. We walked to the nearby restaurant to fix our hungry and our craving for curry. Banana Bro was always our saviour in this sense.

Look at the variety of curries and variety of side dishes which was one set with the banana leaf rice set.

Only my eldest son and myself were eating. Husband and youngest son were not hungry yet. We thoroughly enjoyed the banana leaf rice.

Children nowadays are very lucky and blessed, if budget is not a problem, there are so many types of activities out there for them to enjoy during school holiday. Have fun growing up, kids!
