To bridge the waiting time until the next official Hivechess season (or until someone else creates a tournament on Hive (@chessbrotherspro, @schamangerbert, @the-real-betman, anyone?), let´s play some chess just for fun!
This Friday, the 8th March, at the usual time there will be a Chess960 (or "Freestyle-Chess" as it is now called) tournament for all Hivers!

When are we going to play a tournament with streaks! Now it seems like a variant in Hive chess, it's been longgggg!
I don´t like streaks as they are just an additional bonus for strong players, and create an additional element of luck (in case you get a streak of weaker opponents). But if you have good arguments why they are a good idea, you may convince me to reintroduce them.
I haven't played Chess 960 much. I'll have to train for a few days 😀

Ich weiß, ich bin dran, aber es ist mühsam, es könnte ein Hardwarefehler serverseitig sein, der die Performance reduziert hat, ein Ticket beim Provider ist geöffnet. Könnte noch ein paar Tage dauern, da ich beruflich vereise und von dort nichts machen kann. Sehr ärgerlich.
Aber bei dem Kurs lohnt es sich langfristig, einen Backup-Server zu mieten, um so etwas zu verhindern.
Geht wieder.
