No matter how much time passes, fantasy and magic anime are still relatively frequent and the reason is simple, they are still interesting and its theme manages to attract the attention of several people, personally it is still one of my favorite styles and although they may have several aspects in common they still have special aspects that make them entertaining. Yuusha, Yamemasu is an anime that has a little more than 1 year since its broadcast and although in a way it can not be denied that it uses several premises and concepts quite common in fantasy and action anime, it also does a couple of things a little less common and manages to vary to be entertaining.
Yuusha, Yamemasu is mainly based on a world of ancient and medieval appearance where there is magic, creatures of different races and how could not miss the demonic race, as well as its Demon Queen who is responsible for attacking and challenging humanity seeking to conquer it with his army, in the same way we have a character who happens to be the hero destined to defeat the demon king and has a virtually insurmountable power besides having a humble personality with which he could be considered a typical character to empathize with the viewer and never be at mortal risk.
A plot and elements very common in several Isekais although this anime has nothing to do with the isekais, although up to this point it is quite common its approach also has a variety in its history that turns out to be quite interesting where a couple of main aspects stand out as the fact that our protagonist Hero Leo after defeating the army of the demon queen is despised by humanity for his great power and decides to go to work as a simple soldier of the army of the demon queen where for some reason they continue living on earth without major inconveniences.
It is not very frequent to see anime where the Hero decides to work for the demon king's army, but I think it is even less frequent one that has the approach of Yuusha, Yamemasu where for some chapters could be considered a Slice of Life of the daily days in the reconstruction of the demonic army and how he helps the 4 generals who are responsible for solving virtually everything, helps them in basic tasks such as ensuring the magical energy, search for resources and other objectives that are somewhat trivial but curious. At the same time we see how elements of comedy appear in his way of relating to those he has already defeated in his time and also trying to get closer to the demon queen who for obvious reasons hates him because he was the one who destroyed her entire army.
Although the combats and action scenes in this anime are quite scarce and are mostly used in brief moments of the chapters or to remember scenes from the hero's past, they manage to be somewhat interesting and their animation, as well as the magic effects are quite acceptable and do not have a bad visual quality. The action is presented on very few occasions and it is not really until almost the end of the anime where we have a really interesting battle at a visual level and that has good duration, although in the end this was a good decision since having a practically invincible character would have become monotonous many fights in a row where it was evident that there was no danger to Leo and that he would win without any inconvenience, if you create an invincible character it is better that he almost does not fight.
Another quite peculiar approach of this anime and that is presented quickly is how despite the fact that the whole world has a medieval style and without technology it is really a post apocalyptic land where after the arrival of the demons and the war that took place all humankind regressed in its technological advancement by being practically destroyed, I think other anime have used this concept, but it is not so frequent to see.
Even though Yuusha, Yamemasu doesn't have a really deep story or strongly dramatic or shocking development it does manage to have some somewhat melancholic development for the protagonist by presenting a tragic past as well as a somewhat desperate goal or mission on Leo's part, and although it may feel a bit rushed in the way it is told after all the season only has 14 chapters, this sad approach simply serves to create a different feeling in the viewer and manage to generate an interest since it can really be considered that it mainly looks for comedy and somewhat quiet adventures as its way to entertain the audience.

Sin importa el tiempo que pase los animes de fantasía y magia siguen siendo relativamente frecuentes y el motivo es sencillo, siguen siendo interesantes y su temática logra llamar la atención de varias personas, en lo personal sigue siendo uno de mis estilos preferidos y aunque pueden tener varios aspectos en común de igual manera tienen aspectos especiales que los vuelven entretenidos. Yuusha, Yamemasu se trata de un anime que cuenta con un poco más de 1 año desde su emisión y aunque en cierto modo no se puede negar que utiliza varias premisas y conceptos bastante frecuentes en los animes de fantasía y acción, también hace un par de cosas un poco menos frecuentes y consigue variar para ser entretenido.
Yuusha, Yamemasu se basa principalmente en un mundo de aspecto antiguo y medieval en donde existe la magia, las criaturas de diferentes razas y como no podría faltar la raza demoniaca, así como su Reina Demonio que se encarga de atacar y desafiar a la humanidad buscando conquistarla con su ejército, del mismo modo tenemos a un personaje quien resulta ser el héroe destinado a vencer al rey demonio y que cuenta con un poder prácticamente insuperable además de tener una personalidad humilde con lo cual se le pude considerar un típico personaje para empatizar con el espectador y nunca estar en riesgo mortal.
Una trama y elementos muy frecuentes en varios Isekais aunque este anime no tiene nada que ver con los isekais, aunque hasta este punto es bastante común su enfoque también cuenta con una variedad en su historia que resulta ser bastante interesante en donde destacan un par de aspectos principales como el hecho de que nuestro protagonista el Heroe Leo después de vencer al ejercito de la reina demonio es despreciado por la humanidad por su gran poder y decide irse a trabajar como un simple soldado del ejército de la reina demoniaca en donde por algún motivo siguen viviendo en la tierra sin mayores inconvenientes.
No suele ser muy frecuente ver animes en donde el Heroe decida trabajar para el ejército del rey demonio, pero creo que es aún menos frecuente uno que tenga el enfoque de Yuusha, Yamemasu en donde por algunos capítulos se podría considerar un Slice of Life de los días diarios en la reconstrucción del ejército demoniaco y como ayuda a los 4 generales que son los responsables de solucionar prácticamente todo, los ayuda en tareas básicas como asegurar la energía mágica, buscar recursos y demás objetivos que resultan algo triviales pero curiosos. Al mismo tiempo vemos como aparecen elementos de comedia en su forma de relacionarse con aquellos a los que ya venció en su momento y también tratando de acercarse a la reina demonio quien por obvias razones lo odia debido a que él fue quien destruyo todo su ejército.
Aunque los combates y escenas de acción en este anime son bastante escasas y mayormente se utilizan en breves momentos de los capítulos o para recordar escenas del pasado del héroe, las mismas logran ser algo interesante y su animación, así como los efectos en la magia son bastante aceptables y no cuenta con una mala calidad visual. La acción se presenta en muy pocas ocasiones y realmente no es hasta casi el final del anime en donde tenemos una batalla realmente interesante a nivel visual y que cuenta con buena duración, aunque al final esto fue una buena decisión ya que al tener un personaje prácticamente invencible se hubiera vuelto monótono muchos combates seguidos en donde era evidente que no existía ningún peligro para Leo y que vencería sin ningún inconveniente, si se crea un personaje invencible es mejor que casi no luche.
Otro enfoque bastante peculiar de este anime y que se presenta rápido es como a pesar de que todo el mundo cuenta con un estilo medieval y sin tecnología realmente es una tierra post apocalíptica en donde después de la llegada de los demonios y la guerra que hubo toda la humidad retrocedió en su avance tecnológico al ser prácticamente destruida, creo que otros animes han utilizado este concepto, pero no es tan frecuente de ver.
A pesar de que Yuusha, Yamemasu no cuenta con una historia realmente profunda o con el desarrollo fuertemente dramático o impactante el mismo si logra tener cierto desarrollo algo melancólico para el protagonista al presentar un pasado trágico así como un objetivo o misión un poco desesperada por parte de Leo, y aunque puede sentirse que fue algo apresurado la forma en que se cuenta después de todo la temporada solo cuenta con 14 capítulos, este enfoque triste simplemente sirve para crear un sentimiento diferente en el espectador y lograr generar un interés ya que el mismo realmente se puede considerar que principalmente busca la comedia y aventuras algo tranquilas como su manera de entretener a la audiencia.

I didn't recognise the title, but I knew I'd seen it. For the English audience this one is called I'm Quitting Heroing. I wonder if the Japanese titles get translated a bit differently for each country.
This is another one where it makes us question whether the enemy is that evil after all.
I've really wondered about that several times with the translations. the title that I put if I'm not mistaken would be the phonetic translation to English, that is, the way it is pronounced because in Japanese when they say Hero is Yuusha. now the title that you know must be the one that they put it to distribute it, although it is not a literal translation for sure.

As you rightly say, there are many anime and manga of this genre, but the differences are what make it stand out from the others and that surely is the reason why this one is good. Your post has made me interested in this anime even though the genre is not one of my favorites.

exacto, ya no suele ser tan frecuente ver animes con temáticas o enfoques super novedosos pero siempre se puede tener resultados interesantes usando elementos algo comunes pero agregando cierta variación o diferencias para no ser igual que el resto.

Exactly, it's not so common anymore to see anime with super novel themes or approaches but you can always have interesting results by using somewhat common elements but adding some variation or differences so as not to be the same as the rest.
