The Story | La Historia
It was an afternoon like any other; Fito, a loving Chihuahua was anxiously waiting for the front door of the house to open, he already knows the routine, every day Cary sits in the doorway at 6pm and he takes the opportunity to take a walk around the neighborhood, it has been like that for as long as his doggy memory allows him to remember. He knows every corner of the neighborhood, he has had 10 years to explore it and Cary knows it, he is not afraid of getting lost because he never wanders too far away.
Era una tarde como cualquier otra; Fito, un amoroso Chihuahua esperaba ansiosamente a que se abriera la puerta principal de la casa, ya conoce la rutina, cada día Cary se sienta en el portal a las 6 de la tarde y él aprovecha para dar un paseo por los alrededores, ha sido así desde que su memoria perruna le permite recordar. Conoce cada rincón del barrio, ha tenido 10 años para explorarlo y Cary lo sabe, no teme que se pierda pues él nunca se aleja demasiado.
Fito is a happy dog, he is lucky enough to be the spoiled of the house and takes very seriously the important task of fighting the loneliness of that silver-haired old lady. they have been together for so long that no one but him knows all their secrets. The hours they spend talking have created a strong emotional bond.
Fito es un perro feliz, tiene la suerte de ser el mimado de la casa y se toma muy en serio la importante tarea de luchar contra la soledad de aquella anciana de cabello plateado. han estado juntos durante tanto tiempo que nadie aparte de él conoce todas sus secretos. Las horas que pasan conversando han creado un fuerte vínculo emocional.
Cary is an independent woman with a strong character, her sons have tried several times to take her to live with them, but... in her own words: She is too old to be controlled, and in her house she rules..., well, she and Fito, because just one look from those bulging eyes is enough for that Cuban woman to let her guard down and surrender to the will of her life partner.
Cary es una mujer independiente y de carácter fuerte, sus hijos han intentado varias veces llevarla a vivir con ellos, pero... en sus propias palabras: Ella está muy vieja para que la estén controlando, y en su casa manda ella..., bueno, ella y Fito, porque solo basta una mirada de esos ojos saltones para que aquella cubana baje la guardia y caiga rendida ante la voluntad de su compañero de vida.
The sun is already setting on the horizon while the curious Fito follows an imaginary trail, turns the corner, zigzags between the doorways. Suddenly he raises his head in fright! He does not know where he is, his advanced age has played a trick on him, he is disoriented. Despite being only 20 or 30 meters from his home, nothing seems familiar to him. He begins to tremble as his tiny paws take him into a dark and unknown world.
El sol ya se oculta en el horizonte mientras el curioso Fito le sigue la pista a un rastro imaginario, hace un giro en la esquina, zigzaguea entre los portales. De repente levanta asustado la cabeza!! No sabe donde está, su avanzada edad le ha jugado una mala pasada, está desorientado. A pesar de estar a solo 20 o 30 metros de su casa, nada le parece conocido. El susto lo lleva a cruzar la calle, algo que muy pocas veces ha hecho. comienza a temblar mientras sus diminutas patitas lo adentran en un mundo oscuro y desconocido.
Fitoooo, Fitoooooo! Cary's desperate voice is heard as desolation floods his soul, his friend, his confidant, his faithful companion is lost and suddenly that iron woman falls apart between sobs.
Fitoooo, Fitoooooo! se escucha la voz desesperada de Cary mientras la desolación inunda su alma, su amigo, su confidente, su fiel compañero se ha perdido y de pronto aquella mujer de hierro se deshace entre sollozos.
Word spreads: Fito is lost, everyone wants to help, but time goes by and he does not appear. A friend of the family receives the news while he is traveling outside the province. How helpless! He knows very well that Cary must be suffering a lot, that special relationship with his pet is an important reason to get up every day. In a desperate attempt to help in some way, he shares a photo on various social media groups begging anyone who can provide any information to get in touch immediately.
Corre la voz: Fito se ha perdido, todos quieren ayudar, pero sigue pasando el tiempo y no aparece. Un amigo de la familia, recibe la noticia mientras está de viaje fuera de la provincia. Que impotencia!! Sabe muy bien que Cary debe estar sufriendo mucho, aquella especial relación con su mascota es una razón importante para levantarse cada día. En un intento desesperado por ayudar de alguna manera, comparte una fotografía en varios grupos de redes sociales rogando a quién pueda brindar alguna información que se ponga en contacto inmediatamente.
Only ten minutes later, a message from an unknown person gave a glimmer of hope: Call me at this number, I think I know where the puppy is. One call and a thousand words of thanks later, that friend was able to confirm the news that Fito was in the hands of a noble soul. Now he only regrets not having been around to pick him up himself and deliver him to Cary, he would have given anything to be there to record in his memory that happy reunion. What did remain in his memory was the feeling of satisfaction he experienced when he was able to help his loved ones.
Solo diez minutos después, un mensaje de alguien desconocido arroja un ápice de esperanza: Llámame a este número, creo que se donde está el perrito. Una llamada y mil frases de agradecimiento más tarde, aquel amigo pudo confirmar la noticia de que Fito estaba en manos de un alma noble. Ahora solo lamenta no haber estado cerca para recogerlo él mismo y entregárselo a Cary, hubiera dado cualquier cosa por estar allí para registrar en su memoria aquel feliz reencuentro. Lo que si quedó registrado en su memoria fue el sentimiento de satisfacción que se experimenta cuando se puede ayudar a los seres queridos.

Interesante. Es una historia que bien podría ser la de cualquier persona. Todos los días pasan estas cosas (que una mascota querida se extravíe) y otras aún peores como por ejemplo que hoy ví una publicación de facebook clamando por ayuda, pues iban a sacrificar a una husky por tener garrapatas.
Tu historia tiene un final feliz. Está llena de amor y esperanza. También colaboración. Gracias por tan buen aporte y sigue creando NFTs.
Gracias @nanixxxpor tu comentario, es cierto lo que dices, por eso es importante poner nuestro granito de arena cada vez que podamos ayudar. Con respecto a los NFT, no se si voy bien, pero estoy seguro de que disfruto mucho el proceso de aprendizaje.

Thanks for the appreciation, I really hope to improve my artwork with each piece. Fito's eyes are special, that detail was difficult to achieve, because it was important to me to provoke exactly that feeling.
