in Alien Art Hive • 2 years ago (edited)

Hello Hive community, I hope you are having a wonderful day!

It's been a while since my last post, I've been very busy. Today I wanted to make a drawing to de-stress from everything that is to be done in December... as time goes by there are more things to do and I hope to organize myself better with time, to be able to draw and paint more often.
I love to recycle and I got scraps of black cardboard from jobs and old boxes, so I thought I'd use them for the other side. I think the world is full of a lot of waste, if the effort has already been made to create this cardboard, let it be used until the end.

I started this experimental flower by doing a sketch with a HB pencil, it's being a while i don't draw, so the line is not very neat. First I made the flower, then I came up with the spider web texture and I wanted to put something with a lot of contrast between them, so I made the bubbles (or rocks).

Then i started using the white Gel roll pen to make the lines and circles.

I had originally thought of a monochrome drawing, but since I had my Prismacolors colors next to me I encouraged them to use them, I had to test them on a small separate cardboard to see which ones would really stand out on the black card.

Finally add lines and dots on some areas with color, so that the drawing would stand out more.

I don't know if the choice of colors was the most appropriate, what do you think?
Until the next post, take care of yourselves!
