👉 Greetings friends! The card with which I want to participate this week in the splinterlands art contest is Cerberus. And for this I have prepared a pixel art, digital art, of this majestic and infernal three-headed dog.
👉 ¡Saludos amigos! La carta con la que quiero participar esta semana en el concurso de arte de splinterlands es la de Cerberus. Y para ello he preparado un pixel art, arte digital, de este majestuoso e infernal perro de tres cabezas.
It's not easy being a three-headed dog. The constant bickering, biting and slobbering are always a distraction, and the heads can rarely agree on anything. When summoned to battle, these giant dogs present a fury of claw, flame and fang that is difficult for any monster to get past.
No es fácil ser un perro de tres cabezas. Las constantes peleas, mordiscos y babas son siempre una distracción, y las cabezas rara vez se ponen de acuerdo en algo. Cuando son convocados a la batalla, estos perros gigantes presentan una furia de garras, llamas y colmillos difícil de superar para cualquier monstruo.
👉 To make this illustration my main idea was to make a common dog, somewhat muscular, with 3 heads, just like the original card, but after looking at other reference images outside the game I came up with the idea of giving it a human body, so I did it this way. So I did it this way, I just hope you like it! 👍
👉 Para realizar esta ilustración mi idea principal fué la de hacer un perro común, algo musculoso, de 3 cabezas, tal como la carta original, pero luego de observar otras imagenes de referencia ajenas al juego me surgió la idea de darle un cuerpo humano. Por lo que lo hice de esta manera. ¡Solo espero que les guste! 👍
As I mentioned before, the illustration is digital, digital art, made using the pixel art technique.
And talking about the creative process in general, after having an idea of what I wanted to do, the first thing was to create a sketch, adding all the desired elements,
On a lower layer I proceeded to apply the base color. For all the coloring I always try to use the color palette of the original character.
After that I proceed to apply the details of the shading and lighting, in this case I worked first of all all the skin of Cerberus, since the character had the same tones of colors almost in general.
Only the colors changed at the moment of painting the eyes, tongue, teeth and ears.
Como mencioné anteriormente, la ilustración es digital, arte digital, hecha usando la técnica del pixel art.
Y hablandoles del proceso creativo en general, después de tener una idea de lo que queria hacer, lo primero fue crear un boceto, añadiendole todos los elementos deseados,
En una capa más abajo procedi a aplicar el color base. Para todo el coloreado siempre trato de usar la paleta de colores del personaje original.
Después de eso procedo a aplicarles los detalles del sombreado y la iluminación, en este caso trabajé primero que nada toda la piel de cerberus, ya que el personaje llevaba los mismos tonos de colores casi que en general.
Solo cambiaron los colores al momento de pintarle los ojos, lengua, dientes y orejas.
