ENGLISH VERSION

WHAT IS WHAT I SEE: Here you see a dragon that would be the protector of the forest but an Asian version where you can see the trees full of colors and the mushrooms at their feet united in harmony and the dragon that watches over them.

WHAT IS WHAT I FEEL: It gives a feeling of tranquility to those who like and advocate for the defense of the environment, wishing that something would protect it and can produce fear to those who do not care and only want their selfish needs, thinking that something terrible can stop them.

In this case, more than poetry, I would like to call for reflection on what we are doing to the earth; forests provide an invaluable service to humanity by being tireless plants for cleaning the air by absorbing carbon dioxide.

They also provide invaluable value in caring for and maintaining the drinking water tributaries so that you and I can have water in our taps, for different everyday things, since keeping the forest intact provides a particular MICROCLIMATE that maintains The rivers flow, causing climatic conditions in that area to maintain the rivers that in the end provide many of them with the drinking water we need. That is why the declaration of national parks is so important since the main objective is more selfish for us and logical, it is to protect intact that ecosystem that helps keep the sources of the rivers pure in order to extract the water we need from there. .

In addition, the forests and especially the Amazon jungle are invaluable as they have a great variety of life, many of them unknown, where you can possibly get many active ingredients or materials that allow us to develop new materials to improve our lives or new medicines that can be the best solution to combat those almost incurable diseases today such as cancer or AIDS.

Furthermore, the stupid idea that some people think of using the lands of the Amazon rainforest for farming is the most idiotic thing that has ever existed since they do not know a reality that may seem contradictory; The land of the Amazon rainforest is one of the most sterile lands that exists. You might wonder how that is possible if there are so many trees and life there, it is very simple, the Amazon rainforest is one of the rainiest areas in the world and what that rain does is wash the earth and take away the nutrients, so when the jungle is burned It may be that you have 5 years of production from the ashes but then the desertification of that territory occurs as has happened to many in BRAZIL, so the best way to take advantage of that land is to leave it intact so that it continues to provide the invaluable services that the forest gives us since by removing the jungle that land becomes useless and what can cause is a shortage of water when the rivers dry up due to not having the forest cover that prevents its evaporation, making living unfeasible. over there.

Your question then is how is it possible that there are such large and leafy trees in such a sterile land, is what the image we see represents, it is a symbiotic relationship between the trees and various species of fungi that are intertwined with the roots of the trees. They degrade and consume all the organic material, processing it and then feeding the fungi. Their waste is the raw material for the trees to be able to maintain that great majesty of the jungle, so by removing the forest you destroy the soil.

So let's protect that valuable treasure that is our still existing natural environments and let's be like that dragon if we want to continue enjoying the water that reaches our taps and the still pure air that our forests and jungles as an industry that works tirelessly and tirelessly. charge us and only ask us to let them live they provide us.

I hope you like my reflections, waiting for your comments and suggestions.

Hello @alfrin. You present some useful and informative facts on forests, especially the Amazon Rain Forest. Where did you get your source for the information?

Thanks for sharing.

I am a biologist and I know this topic very well. I saw several subjects about it, so I took it from my knowledge and the elective subjects on the subject.

Now if you specifically want a peer-reviewed reference or from a specific journalist and the users show enough interest you could make the effort to search for them to illustrate the knowledge that has been expressed here.

When you say that:

"I am a biologist..."

How would your readers know if you don't disclose this information when writing the article?

"Now if you specifically want a peer-reviewed reference or from a specific journalist and the users show enough interest you could make the effort to search for them to illustrate the knowledge that has been expressed here."

It is not up to your readers to go searching for the information you provide in your article as fact. Whenever you include information that is not your property, then you must provide a source link.

This information was not taken from anywhere, it is a summary of my knowledge of the subject acquired in my experience in my work in biology and in the study of elective subjects on the subject, well, you are right, I should have based it on information that appears in official articles reviewed by Peers but this week my daughters got sick and I thought that a reflection on facts of my knowledge from my career was enough.

I could do a scientific article talking about the subject if the readers wish, but it will be next week that my daughters improve, it has been 3 days without sleep due to the fever of 40 that first was one and then it was the other, thanks for reading, happy night.

I understand @alfrin. It was not intent to intimidate you or accuse you of plagiarism . If you are an expert in the field and relied on your summary of the classes you undertook, all that was needed was to state so in the article that the information contained therein was a reflection of your knowledge. Then your readers will know from where your information was derived. Simple as that.

I'm sorry to hear your family members are ill. I'm dealing with such at the moment myself. In fact, critically ill. I wish them feeling better soon. It's a task attempting to work online when offline issues are pressing.

There is no need to publish a separate post on the matter. Thanks for your response and understanding. I know the impact of having to deal with Hive Watchers once you are suspected of using information whether visual or written that is not your property and used without permission.

Take care and have a good rest of your week.

Don't worry, thank you for the recommendations, they are well received. I will take them into account in future articles to give the best to readers.

I like the Asian version it looks like it.

Each version of each culture shows us different and interesting stories to see.

The entire world should not focus on the rainforest only. I agree it should not be used for excessive farming of .. soya but those living there have a right to be a farmer as well.
I noticed wherever I travel forests, old trees are cut down to be replaced by solar cells, wind turbines, data centres and more and more houses (there are many empty buildings already).
Let everyone with a garden, or balcony do his share, let trees grow and where are all those roofgardens governments talked about over 25 years ago?

You gave us good for thought. I liked the part about the symbioses between trees/plants and fungi.

I wish you all good health.

@wakeupkitty

It is very good that they should be farmers but in BRAZIL, giving the landless areas of the Amazon rainforest to cultivate has resulted in the desertification of that land so those people who wanted to, with their ignorance and trusting in the government, cultivate there In the end, after 5 or less years, they are left poorer, even with a desert land that cannot be put to any other use.

That is to say, these lands provide a better use by leaving them intact and those people who live there must look for new ways to live without damaging the land.

The increase in logging in this type of land is alarming and must be protected for the good of all the lands that remain not only in the Amazon rainforest but also in natural environments in general, many of them are protection of water sources. that you and I consume, that is, if you continue like this without thinking, you cut down forests and jungles, there will be no tributaries of drinking water left to consume and the use for crop land destroys those tributaries.

There is already a crisis of water availability in many parts of the world due to excessive use in human processes that have led many populations in the world to suffer from a clean source of water and there are very few intact tributaries left.

That is why the right of these people to be able to cultivate there harms the right to have clean sources of water for other cultivation areas and for human consumption, so therefore it is time to stop the cutting down of jungles and forests to take care of the few. intact tributaries remaining before it is too late.

Thank you for explaining. So trees are needed to clean the water (and air).
I hope worldwide the forests will be protected but I have strong doubts this will be the case.

Greetings @wakeupkitty
