What I see: A magnificently colored scene with magic mushrooms, magic lichen on trees, and a slender dragon in the color of silver clouds and rainbows. Some of the same silvery color is also on the ground where there are no mushrooms. The mushroom tops have a pattern similar to the feather pattern on the dragon.
What I feel: Is the dragon doing a spring shed or molt -- and if so, is there are a purpose to doing it right there?
The Rainbow Puff Dragon male sheds his winter feathers strategically in his territory as food for magic mushrooms.
Each mushroom thus fed bears a feather's imprint, and so is known by female dragons as not poisonous to dragon young.
Thus the most patient dragon gardeners become fathers to many children!
What a lovely description of the dragon as the male who is protecting and providing for the future of his species waiting for the females to do their part. Nice description of what is happening in the forest. Thanks for sharing.

I thought of a peacock as well ... so, a male being... but a bit more creative in what he does with his!
