An island in a world parallel to ours

On October 29, 2009, Thomas Brown, 56 years old, sailed from Florida to the southern coast on his boat, leaving behind a note in the hotel room where he stayed with his wife. He never mentioned that he might disappear after that trip into the unknown.
The note said that he went out for a short trip to the sea and would return early. Thomas had been working in a swimming pool construction company for thirty years and on this day he decided to celebrate with his wife the success he had achieved in his life. But what his wife did not know was that this was the last time she would see him. She had her husband only after seven years. Her husband had disappeared without a trace.
The authorities went out looking for him, but no one saw him anywhere, as if the ground opened and swallowed him, or rather the sea swallowed him. It was not easy for his wife and children, who still remember their father, and they have grown up and had children who do not know what happened to their grandfather.
On August 25, 2016, Thomas’s wife, Martha, received a phone call informing her of the need to come to the health center to address the case of her husband’s disappearance. She received the news calmly, certain that they had found his boat somewhere.
She went immediately to see her husband lying on the hospital bed, tired, pale, and smelling bad, and the strangest thing was that he had no teeth!!
Thomas collapsed crying when he saw his wife and did not have the strength to stand up and hug her. Martha shouted to the policeman: “He
My husband... and she threw herself on Thomas, crying out of joy.
Thomas stated that he had gone out to sea to rest and relax in his boat. After several hours, he decided to return, and when he tried to start his boat’s engine, it did not work. He examined it closely and everything seemed fine, so he tried to use the radio, but it did not work either.
So he waited for someone to come to his rescue. The next morning, Thomas woke up to the sound of the ships coming and going. This warmed his heart and reassured him. When he opened the door of his cabin and went out, he did not see any of those ships whose sound he heard, and he began to see a white land in the shape of an island. Surrounded by plants..
But what caught his attention was the extremely red algae surrounding the place, the likes of which he had never seen before. He looked closely at the shore of the island and saw the remains of ships, small ships, and plane wreckage. The strangest thing that attracted him was a monkey looking at him from afar.
He jumped off his boat and was about to search the island for traces of civilization, but every time he wandered around the entire island in an hour, he found himself at point zero, so he tried again to return to the place he started. Thomas lost hope and began waiting for someone to pass by this remote island and save him.
Many days passed and no one appeared and his food supply began to run out. As the days and weeks passed, he learned to extract water from trees and plants, catch his own food from small fish, light a fire, and make a bed for himself from palm leaves.
One day he decided to follow the monkey that was watching him and see where that intrusive monkey was getting his food and drink from. He followed the monkey until it disappeared, hiding among the trees. The next day he found the monkey on the roof of his boat, and when he went to it, the monkey disappeared and evaporated. For a year he was unable to catch the monkey. .
After the days passed, Thomas noticed that his condition began to worsen. His lip was cracked and ulcerated, and he became emaciated and extremely tired, and his teeth began to fall out. Thomas understood that time was running out for him and that his time was approaching and that he might become food for the monkey. So he decided to make a kind of sail and install it on the boat with oars. .
He vowed to sail in a direction that had no limits or end, and he thought that if he died, he would have died trying to survive instead of dying like a coward alone on the land of that deserted island. Sailing in that dark sea was hell itself. The night became dark, so he went into his cabin to sleep. In the morning, he heard a loud knock on his cabin door. Someone was calling out anxiously, “Is there someone inside?”
He opened the door to find two men in Coast Guard uniforms. Thomas could not believe what he saw and fell unconscious on the floor of his dirty, neglected boat. Thomas was taken to the hospital and his wife was notified. After a few days, he was released from the hospital.
Thomas' story sparked a lot of speculation and questions. First, was the monkey real or a product of Thomas's tired imagination? How did red algae get there, which is known to live in sweet water, not salty? The most puzzling question is that Thomas claimed to have lived on this island for only one year but disappeared for seven years? Did Thomas make a mistake in counting, or did he enter another dimension where time shrinks? Where did the wreckage of the planes and boats on the island come from? Why did Thomas not decide to return until a year after he had been on the island? Was the island another dimension in a world parallel to ours?
