Gone Cinderella

Go, go,
Cinderella, to your cage.
Hang your dolls
and princes,
And smell like
the dining room.

I once was
a field of lilies
that trembled
for her passions.

Now I feel
the glory of mud
from ancestors
who played with
fire.

So, go now...
Cinderella.
Tell your stories
to the sinners;
they only have
the guts to
see you
for who you are.

In the midst of this not so great reset, through all the shifts, PoMo intertextuality is so sexy. Thanks for this epic swim!

You're very welcome! Embracing the waves of change with a touch of PoMo intertextuality indeed adds a captivating allure to the narrative. Cheers to the ongoing epic swim, and may the waters of creativity and intellect continue to inspire us all!

Some excellent verses, loaded with fantasy and a dark reality on a white cloak of traditional Cinderella purity.

Thanks for sharing.
Good day.

Thank you so much for your kind words! I'm thrilled you appreciated the blend of fantasy and the darker undertones woven into the traditional Cinderella purity. Best!

Another great poem, I love your poetry. It's not easy to put Cinderella in a poem and have it look good! I really liked the part about "the glory of mud." Greetings!
