Ah, great, that is one of the two I was looking at buying (the other was a cheaper one that attaches to a digital camera, but I have some qualms about that one).
I was looking at the Flir-One and Seek cameras that attach via USB to smartphones. I guess they work okay, but I wanted a standalone device. I was worried the camera dongle would get bumped and maybe damage my phones USB port. Probably would not happen but just one less thing to worry about.
A few months back I smelled a burning smell coming from my computer.. could not tell where.. but the flir camera solved it.. my fan controller was getting too hot.
so yeah it helps me out a lot. best of luck finding the leaky spots in your apartment. it will work great for that.
