meine Frau und ich haben eine kleine Ferienwohnung in der Eifel. Wir nutzten das vergangene Wochenende um dorthinzufahren. Da es anfing zu schneien ergaben sich tolle Bilder, die ich euch nicht vorenthalten möchte.	My wife and I have a small holiday apartment in the Eifel. We used the past weekend to go there. Since it started to snow, there were some great pictures that I don't want to withhold from you

Wir starteten an unserem Haus und gingen die Route 35 bis zum Hügelgipfel, wo eine Bank steht. Normalerweise hat nan hier eine super Aussicht, aber heute war es zu nebelig. Dann bogen wir nach Norden zur Ginsterhöhe und damitnach Wollseifen ab. Dieses jetzige Geisterdorf wurde kurz dem 2. Weltkrieg von den Belgiern anektiert und in einen Truppenübungsplatz verwandelt. Im Schneegestöber wirkt es etwas gespenstisch.

We started at our house and walked Route 35 to the top of the hill where there is a bench. Normally there is a great view here, but today it was too foggy. Then we turned north to Ginsterhöhe and then Wollseifen. This current ghost village was annexed by the Belgians shortly after World War II and turned into a military training area. It looks a bit spooky in the snow flurry

Dann tauchte aus dem Nebel Burg Vogelsang auf. Wenn man bedenkt, dass hier die Nazis ausgebildet wurden, wirkt das Szenario immer noch irgendwie bedrohlich. Wir gingen über den Parkplatz zurück und kamen nach knapp 4 Stunden und 14 km Wandern wieder bei uns in der Ferienwohnung an.	Then Vogelsang Castle appeared out of the fog. Considering that the Nazis were trained here, the scenario still seems somehow threatening. We went back through the parking lot and after almost 4 hours and 14 km of hiking we arrived back at the holiday apartment.
