When I arrived at the hotel that the company had reserved for me, my first impression was... oh! it is small!! and actually the structure of the building is narrow and small but I was surprised with the rooms are huge! the bathrooms too, the service was spectacular, the cleaning lady was a love... With this recommendation I can tell you that if you come with the intention of staying on the banks of the Douro in summer, then this hotel will be ideal for you and your family between 70- 80 euros per night you will spend unforgettable days and at night the street is very active and cool since in summer Portugal is too hot!๐Ÿ๐Ÿšฉ๐Ÿฐ

๐ŸŸ๐Ÿงญ

Porto has many interesting things to visit and for all tastes, I have already published in other posts videos with my drone about its beautiful beaches that, despite not being the best in Portugal, are sought after due to their climate, then you can take several guided tours or tours that will allow you to visit the outskirts of the city and get to know the more natural side of Porto. Braga is not far away and you can visit several nature reserves and even Spain! but for those who do not want to waste energy and just rest walking and get to know the culture, then when you stay at the hotel that I show you, you can walk about 4 km along the Douro River, which is the second most important in the country after the Tejo de Lisboa. Here you can take some photos on the main bridges, visit some museums or fancy restaurants! Do not forget to try one of the best wines in the world, those of port.๐Ÿฐ๐Ÿšฉ๐Ÿ

douro viewpoint๐ŸŒ๐Ÿšฉ

The only thing I don't like about the north of Portugal and I mean Porto is its climate... It's too strange one day it can be very sunny and the next day it rains and I mean in summer! That is why I advise you if you are going to do outdoor activities, always check the weather even if it is summer and there are 40 degrees... Otherwise, on the banks of the Douro there are many viewpoints which you access for free and which have the most beautiful views of the city and Don't worry, you can stay there until dawn, it's very safe.๐Ÿ‘€๐Ÿงญ

๐Ÿ‘€๐Ÿง

I present to you the church "Santa Carpa da Misericordia" which is one of those places open to the public that you cannot miss visiting first, they are free and the architecture is fantastic, a mix between baroque, gothic and other styles! When we enter these huge structures we learn a little about the history of the country, churches like these are more than 300 years old, some up to 700 years old, many of them survived the earthquake of the 17th century and today are a memory of some that were used by the famous crusaders.๐Ÿ๐Ÿ‘€๐Ÿ™‡โ€โ™‚๏ธ

This is the museum of the car that I was telling you about at the beginning of the post, it was created in the nineties and it is one of the most visited in the city, of course it is not free, you must pay five euros! However, it is worth it because you are going to take a trip to the past where you can see the evolution of the country's trains and I would say the world since many of them came from England and Germany, the museum was an old transport company that still preserves the facilities to know how was the transport between the forties and seventies!๐Ÿฐ๐Ÿ™‡โ€โ™‚๏ธ๐Ÿ‘€
๐Ÿ‘จโ€๐Ÿ’ป๐ŸŒ๐Ÿš™

My day was fun and special. I took advantage of visiting a family that I have in the north, so I did a bit of everything. The pizzas you see here are the ones I told you about at the beginning. They are homemade, too good. Between the four of us, we spent 50 euros. It seemed cheap to me. including drinks! once again Porto is an excellent tourist destination for you.๐Ÿ™‡โ€โ™‚๏ธ๐Ÿฐ

As lovely Porto seems, as much I understand you about the weather variations. It sucks to be on a vacation and never be confident about what you should wear the next day, as well as if you should cancel your plans or not. But I guess it's our mission not to let the weather change our plans and still explore as much as we can. :)

You have great place there in Portugal. Hope to visit there when I get to Europe. !PGM
