Rural tourism🧭🌍/Turismo rural🚩

I present to you one of the most interesting points to visit in the village, it is the aquaduct, almost all the cities of Portugal at some point in their history presented an aquaduct among their streets, normally the first to build them were the Romans, however later others Cities have some aqueducts that date back to the medieval era, this one here is Romanesque and to some extent has some reconstructions! The interesting thing about the trail is that you can do it throughout the village without dirtying your shoes in case you don't like walking through muddy roads!🚙🌄

Coming across nature while we advance on the asphalt is something that makes the village have that special touch, you will not see a single apartment and rarely tourists so you can go hiking and complete all the trails without anyone bothering you! The best height for me is spring summer, the area can suffer fires and the area is a little hot so winter and spring are the best times! I came on a rainy day and nothing happens, you will only run into some puddles if you decide to walk on the sandy roads! If you stay on the street nothing happens! But I make it clear to you that the trail in question is a combination between road and forest!🍍🌏🍂

A rainy day🌻🚙👨‍🦯

As I mentioned before, the sky was gray and the weather indicated rain, which I expected and I was prepared because it rained very hard twice during my walk. The trail is completed in, I would say, 3 hours or maybe 4. You will walk no more than 15km and you will cross a total of 5 villages until you reach Pero Pinheiro, some have interesting things to visit, others are very modern and you cannot appreciate the architecture! Come prepared with boots and a hiking stick, and in summer with a shade and plenty of water!👀🧭🌏

Vale dos lobos🧭🌍/Valley of the wolves🚩

This is one of the villages that we highlight on the walk, it is "Vale dos Lobos" there is nothing interesting except for the chapel that I will show you later, it has very beautiful architecture and is in the center of the village, many Of the houses they retain that ancient touch which helps us understand how people lived before the 18th century. Something to highlight are its many alleys, the streets are quite narrow!🏯🌾🚙

The first thing I notice is the large number of abandoned houses and many of them quite old in the village, I did not see young people in the streets and I see that it is a village that is suffering from the common problem of Portugal: they are aging and there are no people who live there. because young people emigrate! Normally I like to do trails in nature but as I entered these villages I began to like the experience!🚩🍍🌏

18th century tiles🌻🚙👨‍🦯

Something that stands out about Portugal is its tiles. Nowadays, you see many houses with tiles. For me, they give it a special and cultural touch. However, it is something that is being lost over time because our generation likes modern walls and tiles. does not fit! therefore enjoy while they exist!👀🧭🌏

For me, this is the main attraction of the village and it is the chapel, which is very small in height but quite long. Normally you can only go through it when it is open on mass days. It dates back to the 17th century and even though it has undergone some renovations, I read that Inside it has many original objects that are quite old! To get here you have to make a short detour from the main street!🌏🌄

I had to stop to photograph this fountain that, despite being restored, is one of the oldest that I saw in Portugal, it was built in the reign of D. Felix and dates back to 1782, it is here to beautify the street as indicated by the sign written on the Portuguese language!🏰👨‍💻

The first civilizations date back to the Iron Age, however the Romans stood out for creating a small city of which evidence can be seen today. Although this village was only founded in the nineties, it has a long history. deeper! Due to its geography, it is located in a place with a high concentration of limestone from which marble is derived! That's why we see dozens of factories throughout the area!🌄🧭🌍

I miss Portugal so much. It's an incredible country. I wanted to visit all the south in the beginning of 2020, but the "thing" prevented me and later I didn't have the chance yet. Okay, I'll go to listen to some fado and cry 😁
Jokes aside, thank you for showing these places!

Yay! 🤗
