The sea has a relaxing effect, allowing us to feel calm and raising our energy level; therefore, one of the best ways to enjoy a relaxing time is to be near it. That makes me recommend a visit to 1st and 70th Promenade, located in Miramar, which is one of the most elegant neighborhoods in the city of Havana, and as its name suggests, with a beautiful view of the waters that bathe the Cuban coasts.
El mar tiene un efecto relajante, que nos permite sentirnos en calma y elevar nuestro nivel de energía; por lo tanto, una de las mejores formas de disfrutar de un tiempo de descanso es estando cerca de él. Eso me hace recomendar la visita al Paseo Marítimo de 1ra y 70, ubicado en Miramar, que es uno de los vecindarios más elegantes de la ciudad de La Habana, y como su nombre lo indica, con una vista preciosa a las aguas que bañan las costas cubanas.
To access the place is very easy from anywhere in the capital because the Promenade is located in one of the busiest municipalities of the capital, and several hotels have shuttle buses that also stop at the site during their tours.
Although I do not recommend swimming in the coastal area of the site because of the excess of dogtooth stones that are formed on the shore, it is undoubtedly a place with a beautiful blue view and a lovely breeze. However high the temperatures may be, since Cuba is a country with a warm tropical climate during most of the year, in the Promenade you can enjoy the influence of the trade winds and a strong swell.
Para acceder al lugar es muy fácil desde cualquier punto de la capital porque el Paseo Marítimo se encuentra ubicado en uno de los municipios más transitados de la capital, y en varios hoteles se encuentran los shuttle bus que también hacen parada en el sitio durante sus recorridos.
Aunque no recomiendo el baño en el área de costa del sitio por el exceso de piedras de dientes de perro que se encuentran formadas en la orilla, sin dudas es un lugar con una vista azul preciosa y con una brisa encantadora. Por muy elevadas que sean las temperaturas, ya que Cuba es un país con un clima cálido tropical durante la mayor parte del año, en el Paseo Marítimo se disfruta de la influencia de los vientos alisios y de un fuerte oleaje.
On the site there are several gastronomic establishments selling traditional Cuban food, snacks, seafood dishes, juices, soft drinks, beers and all kinds of beverages. All of them are animated with music and have a roofed second floor and an open-air second floor. Even at night they function as bars and are frequented by large groups of young people.

In the Promenade everything is organized and well thought out. On one of its sides a strong tourist infrastructure continues to be developed with modern hotels and renovating the existing ones, in addition to having a parking area for vehicles. We can find from the sculpture of a large crab, very appropriate to the place, to a mural with iconic buildings of the city of Havana.

En uno de sus laterales se continúa desarrollando una fuerte infraestructura turística con modernos hoteles y remozando los ya existentes, además de contar con área de parqueo para vehículos. Podemos encontrar desde la escultura de un gran cangrejo, muy acorde al lugar, hasta un mural con edificaciones icónicas de la ciudad de La Habana.
One of the main attractions, in my opinion, is that it is a place that can be enjoyed by the whole family, as it has an area with lots of gadgets and attractions for children, including small sales points with toys. Although I was not able to see it at the time of my visit, one of the service clerks at one of the cafeterias explained to me that there are regularly big events for children with magicians, clowns and children's games.
Uno de los atractivos fundamentales, desde mi opinión, es que es un sitio que puede resultar del agrado de toda la familia, pues tiene un área con gran cantidad de aparatos y atracciones infantiles, incluyendo pequeños puntos de ventas con juguetes. Aunque no lo pude ver en el momento de mi visita, uno de los dependientes de servicio de una de las cafeterías me explicó que regularmente se hacen grandes eventos para niños con magos, payasos y juegos infantiles.
