Argentina - Walk 8 km along the Coastal Path to see the most beautiful beaches of the Beagle Channel. / Caminar 8 km por la Senda Costera para ver las playas más lindas del Canal de Beagle. 😃❤️

As if having walked 8 km inside the Tierra del Fuego National Park had been not enough, I still wanted to continue further there. It seems that when you get in shape and start hiking any distance seems close. Driven by the desire to continue exploring the place and after seeing that it was not so much for walking, I decided to do one more trail within this nature reserve. I had already heard about how beautiful the Coastal Path was and when I found myself at the beginning of the path I did not hesitate to go and I was happy to be able to verify it with my own experience 💕.

Como si haber caminado 8 km dentro del Parque Nacional Tierra del Fuego hubiese sido poco, todavía tenía ganas de seguir más hacia allá. Parece que cuando uno se pone en forma y empieza a hacer senderismo cualquier distancia parece cerca. Impulsada por las ganas de seguir explorando el lugar y después de ver que no era tanto para caminar, decidí hacer un sendero más dentro de esta reserva natural. Ya había escuchado sobre lo linda que era la Senda Costera y cuando me encontré en el inicio del camino no dudé en ir y me alegré de poder comprobarlo con mi propia experiencia 💕.

Taking advantage of the fact that it was my day off from work, that day I went out very early for a walk in the park. I had already traveled about 8 km to reach Ensenada Bay, hoping to see the Post Office at the End of the World but it was closed. Despite the beautiful scenery, this left me with little taste, so I decided to continue a little further. It turns out that the famous Coastal Path began in the bay, one of the options to walk to the also famous Lapataia Bay. I had enough time to make the entire journey, so after recharging with a small lunch I continued the walk 😃.

Aprovechando que era mi día libre del trabajo, ese día salí muy temprano a caminar por el parque. Ya había recorrido unos 8 km hasta llegar a la Bahía Ensenada, con la esperanza de ver el Correo del Fin del Mundo pero estaba cerrado. A pesar del hermoso paisaje, esto me dejó con gusto a poco, así que decidí continuar un poco más allá. Resulta que en la bahía empezaba la famosa Senda Costera, una de las opciones para ir caminando hasta la también famosa, Bahía Lapataia. Tenía tiempo suficiente para hacer todo el trayecto, asi que después de recargar fuerzas con un pequeño almuerzo continué el paseo 😃.

One would think that from its name, this coastal path would be mostly flat, but there were quite a few uneven spots at first, which made it a little interesting. Much of the route you went inside the forest, but with many options to go down to the water's edge. All this landscape that you see is the Beagle Channel, where ships transit at the End of the World. I've already seen some landscapes like this, but they were always lakes a little smaller than this 🙂.

Uno podría pensar que por su nombre, esta senda en la costa sería mayormente plana, pero al principio habían bastantes desniveles, lo que la volvía un poco interesante. Gran parte del recorrido ibas dentro del bosque, pero con muchas opciones para bajar a la orilla del agua. Todo este paisaje que se ve es el Canal de Beagle, por donde transitan los barcos en el Fin del Mundo. Yo ya ví algunos paisajes así, pero siempre fueron lagos un poco más pequeños que esto 🙂.

After quite a few trees and rocky shores, the path took you to a small beach with grass? It was really crazy to see grass on this coast, since the terrain was pretty dry most of the way. The green color of this soil contrasted with all the blue of the background landscape and made it very picturesque 💕.

Después de bastantes árboles y costas rocosas, la senda te llevaba a una pequeña playa con ¿pasto? Fue muy loco ver pasto en esta costa, ya que el terreno era bastante seco en casi todo el recorrido. El color verde de este suelo constrastaba con todo el azul del paisaje de fondo y lo volvía muy pintoresco 💕.

Although Ushuaia is a destination well known for its snow and skiing in the winter season, summer is also a good time to visit. Don't expect it to be very hot because it's not hot here, but the weather is pleasant enough for long walks. The most important thing is to have appropriate clothing, and unlike summer in other parts of my country, you do not sweat or get tired as quickly due to the high temperatures 😅.

Si bien Ushuaia es un destino muy conocido por su nieve e ir a skiar en temporada invernal, el verano también es una buena época para ir de visita. No esperen que haga mucho calor porque acá no hace calor, pero el clima está lo suficientemente agradable para dar largos paseos. Lo más importante es tener ropa adecuada, y a diferencia del verano en otros puntos de mi país, no transpiras ni te cansas tan rápido por las altas temperaturas 😅.

The Coastal Path took you on a route with a kind of curve where you could see the Beagle Channel from different angles. This had a great effect with the daylight, because you could see crystal clear and transparent water, but also greenish and bluish parts. Even though I don't like walking on very desolate trails, it didn't bother me to be on this one where I saw almost no one. I knew there was no way to get lost and that made me feel calm 😅.

La Senda Costera te hacía un recorrido con una especie de curva en donde se podía observar el Canal de Beagle desde distintos ángulos. Esto hacía un efecto genial con la iluminación del día, porque se podía ver agua cristalina y transparente, pero también partes verdosas y azuladas. A pesar de que no me gusta transitar senderos muy desolados, no me molestó estar en este en donde no vi a casi nadie. Sabía que no había forma de perderse y eso me hizo sentir tranquila 😅.

I would say that this trail was quite entertaining because I saw different landscapes all the time despite traveling through the same area. Only the last part of the path became a bit boring because it was absolutely all in the forest, crossing between peat and quite a few trees. According to my step counter, I was already about to complete the 8 km that the sign said and I was hoping to be reaching Lapataia Bay, but my disappointment was total when when I reached the end of the trail there was only the car route. Maybe that wouldn't have happened to me if I was looking for specific information before going, but if it had been like that, I wouldn't have this anecdote now 😂.

Diría que este sendero era bastante entretenido porque todo el tiempo veía paisajes diferentes a pesar de estar recorriendo la misma área. Solo la última parte del camino se volvió un poco aburrida porque era absolutamente toda en el bosque, cruzando entre turba y bastantes árboles. Según mi contador de pasos, ya estaba por completar los 8 km que decía el cartel y tenía la esperanza de ya estar llegando a la Bahía Lapataia, pero mi decepción fue total cuando al llegar al final del sendero solo estaba la ruta de los autos. Quizás eso no me hubiese pasado si buscaba información concreta antes de ir, pero si así hubiera sido ahora no tendría esta anécdota 😂.

I had spent almost two hours on the path and I still had not reached any other specific place. I had already accumulated 16 km of walking but it was still early, and I definitely didn't want to leave the park without visiting Lapataia Bay. According to the map, I still had 4 more km to go: most people get to that place by vehicle, but when your vehicle is your legs you have to make the effort. I'm not complaining that much either because the ride was good, and by the way, a little more training doesn't hurt either 😅.

Casi dos horas habré pasado en la senda y todavía no había llegado a ningún otro lugar concreto. Ya iba 16 km de caminata acumulados pero seguía siendo temprano, y definitivamente no quería irme del parque sin conocer la Bahía Lapataia. Según el mapa, todavía me faltaban 4 km más: la mayoría de la gente llega hasta ese lugar en vehículo, pero cuando tu vehículo son tus piernas hay que hacer el esfuerzo. Tampoco me quejo tanto porque el paseo estuvo bueno, y de paso, algo más de entrenamiento tampoco viene mal 😅.
