We don't get into Brisbane Central Business district much any more but when we do it is always good to see all the changes and upgrades.
We got up early on a Saturday morning. Did the South Bank parkrun and then took advantage to the discounted car parking and did a 6km tourist walk around town.
First stop was Epicurious Garden.
Some purple Lavender
A view of the Queensland Maritime Museum while crossing the good will foot and bicycle bridge into the southern end of town.
The southern end of town open straight into the Queensland University and Old Parliament House.
Next we walked straight through the middle of Brisbane City Botanical Gardens
A nice friendly bearded dragon
Butterfly mid flight.
From the gardens it was into the Queen Street Mall much like every other city centre mall I have been too, nice to get there early before it gets too busy.
Treasury Casino and some art work.
Brisbane City Hall Clock Tower.
The old sand stone building looked magnificent against the blue sky.
Anzac Square
Albert Street Uniting Church
William Jolly Bridge photographed from the Kurilipa Bridge.
Some Dart water birds that don't seem to mind the dirty looking colour of the Brisbane River.
The new casino complex and foot Bridge still under construction.
The good old Brisbane tourist sign
The Observation Wheel of Brisbane.
A light festival was set up for the week.
And back to the South Bank swimming lagoon to finish off a nice walk around our Capital City.
Our walk 6.74km which took 83 minutes

Oh nice! I spent about 10 months living on Vulture St a long, long time ago, so it's exciting to see all these areas again. I didn't know about the casino complex.... interesting.
Love seeing the lizards again, although you might want to check the spelling, you may have accidentally made our little friend into a savory snack.

I am scrolling through every shot wondering how a place can be so beautiful. I love how nature has been allowed to thrive in such a 'modern' world. Everything has blended in with the obvious great weather so well :)
Yes with the light, a decent camera phone, the right angle and a bit of time it's surprising easy to find good nature photos all around us. Thanks for the support.
