La catedral de piedra se localiza justamente en la carretera transandina del paramo Merideño, recibe este nombre porque esta elaborada en piedra por el artista venezolano Juan Felix Sanchez, quien nacio en estas tierras específicamente en San Rafael de Mucuchies, esta capilla de piedra es un lugar turístico por excelencia, puesto que su arquitectura arqueológica, es uno de los principales atractivos de todos los turistas que pasan por la zona para tomar las más hermosas que nos ofrece el lugar.

The stone cathedral is located precisely in the trans-Andean road of the Merideño paramo, it receives this name because it is elaborated in stone by the Venezuelan artist Juan Felix Sanchez, who was born in these lands specifically in San Rafael de Mucuchies, this stone chapel is a tourist place par excellence, since its archaeological architecture, is one of the main attractions of all the tourists that pass through the zone to take the most beautiful that the place offers us.

El artista merideño creador de esta capilla la fabricó con abundante piedras de diversas formas y tamaños estas piedras se encuentran distribuidas por el páramo, son características de este lugar, la capilla fue elaborada como un símbolo de amistad pero en la actualidad, la capilla de piedra se encuentra cerrada debido a su deterioro, sin embargo, la fachada externa sigue asombrando a cada uno de los turistas oriundos de las distintas tierras venezolanas y hasta extranjeras que hacen turismo en la localidad.

The Merida artist creator of this chapel made it with abundant stones of various shapes and sizes these stones are distributed by the moor, are characteristic of this place, the chapel was made as a symbol of friendship but today, the stone chapel is closed due to its deterioration, however, the external facade continues to amaze each of the tourists from different Venezuelan lands and even foreigners who make tourism in the town.

Fuera de la capilla de piedra podrás encontrar un monumento en el frente, que posee una piedra en su parte de atrás hacia sus laterales podemos encontrar una cruz elaborada con el mismo material con el que fue elaborada la capilla de piedra, con estas piedras características de los Andes venezolanos, alrededor del lugar se encuentran muchos comerciantes o artesanos que buscan explotar y vender sus artesanías así como también existen muchos perritos mucuchíes.

Outside the stone chapel you can find a monument in the front, which has a stone on the back towards the sides we can find a cross made with the same material with which the stone chapel was made, with these stones characteristic of the Venezuelan Andes, around the place there are many merchants or artisans who seek to exploit and sell their crafts and there are also many puppies mucuchíes.

Por último esta capilla de piedra es un patrimonio turístico de nuestro país Venezuela siempre valdrá la pena conocerla y poder disfrutar, observar cada uno de los detalles que posee como las diversas piedras, punto importante es que hay diversos niños que expresan sus poemas acerca de la capilla de piedra bastante hermoso en realidad, muchas gracias amigos viajeros por leerme espero puedan disfrutar de la Capilla de Piedra y de lo bello que es mi país Venezuela.
