Introduction

Hi everyone it's @LivingUKTaiwan here with today's edition of the ##Traveldigest. Today we're visiting three very different locations across the globe with our Top 3 Pinmapple posts. They're not the happiest places, but sometimes travel isn't all about happiness. Check them, and all the other curated posts out, to see what you think, and if you like what you read, don't forget to drop by to offer some support to the authors. Enjoy

All featured posts are visible on the Editors Choice Map and upvoted by @pinmapple and our curation trail and potentially @blocktrades. For more travel digests check out #traveldigest.

Our winners today 🍍

🥇 CocoCay Bahamas by @leaky20

" The first thing that we saw from the ship was the Waterpark and then we were met with a large brightly colored tower slide when we first stepped foot on the island. I'm sure that is all by design. It was big and colorful and I'm guessing that it's purpose is to send the kids on board into a tizzy when they see it."

🥈 Undiscovered tourist highlight - a picturesque town of Moshny in the middle of Ukraine by @zirochka

" The Bolsheviks first painted over the frescoes and then tore them to shreds with hoes. Workshops were made on the ground floor, and "Lenin's room" above. After WW II it was turned into an agricultural enterprise. They made some ugly "improvements". The belfry was a water tower for a long time. The water from the reservoir caused the damage and it is now in a very poor state. The building is privately owned by an agricultural enterprise, which does not use it, but also does not preserve it."

🥉 Mount Sinabung Tourism, between beauty and sadness by @tomidiwirja

" Like women who dress up to slightly cover their real face to make them look more beautiful, the same goes for the appearance of Sinabung which is deliberately dressed up by local residents to make it more charming and ready to be sold, but in reality behind Sinabung's make-up there are many sad stories. Where several villages located on Mount Sinabung have become dead villages that cannot be lived in anymore until now. "
