🥇 Discovering Taranto, Italy by @sararossi

Taranto is a coastal city in the Apulia region of Italy, the capital of the province with the same name and one of Italy's important commercial ports. It is also the country's main naval base and the third-largest city in southern Italy. Taranto has a population of about 200,000 and is home to well-developed steel foundries, oil refineries, military shipbuilding shipyards and food industry facilities. One of the city's major issues is thought to be environmental pollution.

🥈 PR1 GVA Rota dos Galhardos by @xrayman

Today I want to share with you a route I took when I was in Folgosinho. This route, called "Rota dos Galhardos" or “Calçada dos Cantarinhos” PR1 GVA, is set in the beautiful landscape of the Serra da Estrela Natural Park. A small circular route of 11 kilometers, of medium difficulty, it takes you up to a maximum height of 1340 meters. Designed as an environmental mountain trail, it has a unique beauty. This is due to the fact that it begins with the Roman Calçada dos Galhardos, which also includes the medieval "Calçada da Serra de Baixo" or "Calçada dos Cantarinhos". Among the paths flanked by mountainous forestation, and among broom and small clusters, we are presented with granite models of considerable size, which, due to their anthropomorphic peculiarity, were appropriated by communities with names as peculiar as Cabeço do Faraó. Born out of the natural erosion produced by the elements and the cleavages resulting from cyclical periods of ice and heat, they led to the point we can now appreciate.

🥉 "Visiting Sismondo Castle: A Journey Through Rimini's Architectural History" by @silviared945

Today, in particular, I would like to share with you Sismondo Castle, although this place is also known as Rocca Malatestiana, because it was owned by the Malatesta family. If any of you have been on vacation in Rimini, you'll immediately recognize this beautiful castle, which definitely doesn't go unnoticed. This castle was built around 1400 and has always been the architectural jewel of the city of Rimini, representing the symbol of power for this family and serving as their luxurious residence.
