Good day to all of my dearest, supportive hive family. How was your day? I hope all of you are doing fine. For today's blog, I am going to share with you my experience of one of the tourist spots here in Cebu.
Last week, @chimegipamus planned to go hiking as a form of exercise, but we didn't have a specific place in mind. So, we started looking for a place and found a very popular mountain in the Lanas area, especially among the young people with strong bones. The name of this tourist spot is Mt. Naupa. You can camp here with your friends or family. Honestly, this was my first time hiking Mt. Naupa because I'd never been to this place before. But I knew about this place in Lanas because many people constantly post on Facebook about this mountain, saying it's really beautiful that is why I am very excited to go there.
On Tuesday night, @chimegipamus said that we should wake up early on Wednesday morning around 5 AM because we need to prepare the things we will bring for our hike, like food, coffee, and bread, since we planned to have our breakfast there since we didn't have time. We should have started walking by 6 AM or 5 AM, but I wasn't able to wake up early because I slept late due to schoolwork, so I woke up around 6 AM. Instead of taking a bath, I didn't have time, so next time I should wake up early.
Around 6 AM we were all ready to go, and while we were on the road, I kept looking at the people passing by because I enjoy watching the scenery, especially when you're in a car and passing by the trees - it just feels so fresh and nice. We drove there, but when we arrived, if there was a steep part, we planned to hike as that was the purpose of our trip - for exercise. But when we got there, we didn't end up hiking after all because the car could also go up. I was hoping we would just hike.
When we arrived at Mt. Naupa, the view was breathtaking. It was very beautiful and we could see many places, especially in our hometown of Naga. Mt. Naupa itself is a great place for couples, families, and friends to camp. They have a camping area, hammocks, and tables for visitors who want to eat and enjoy the beautiful view.
They also have a video machine where visitors can sing, but you have to pay before you can sing. You can shout out your feelings there because no one can hear you, especially if you're feeling sad. It's a great place to visit, especially for the broken-hearted.
I was shocked when I saw the tall staircase that looked like a stairway to heaven. We decided to climb it even though it was steep. When we reached the top, the view was amazing. The ambiance was like a terrace, and you could see the entire view. It felt like being Romeo and Juliet, with only water separating us. We couldn't resist taking pictures because the view was so stunning. @chimegipamus posed for pictures and was amazed by the view.
After we took pictures of the views, we decided to have a meal since we hadn't had breakfast yet. We had started our journey early to be able to see the sunset. The food we brought was eggs and bread, and we paired it with coffee, which is a great combination with bread in the morning. It was very nice to eat there because of the view, it was so peaceful.
After we finished eating, the pastor and @chimegipamus were ready to head back, so we returned as well, feeling happy that we were able to enjoy and unwind. I enjoyed our hike up Mt. Naupa because I love mountains, so if you have a chance, I recommend visiting this beautiful tourist spot in Barangay Lanas, Cebu City.

The place is absolutely perfect for hiking Ma'am @queeniemary every morning and I think it is also nice for hiking in late afternoon.
