This is the last part of visiting the beautiful Tunisian city of Sousse. This time we will visit a place that overlooks the Medina in this city, it is strongly fortified and its tower can be seen from a distance. I am writing here about the archological museum in Sousse, which is located in the former Kasbah. Kasbah, like Ribat, is a form of Fortress designed to defend the former city of Sousse. This particular one was built in the 11th century, and the characteristic tower is actually a lighthouse built in 859. Let's go sightseeing.

To już ostatnia część z zwiedzania pięknego Tunezyjskiego miasta Susa. Tym razem zwiedzimy miejsce które góruje nad Medyną w tym mieście , jest mocno obwarowane a jej wieżę widać z daleka. Piszę tu o muzeum archeologiczne w Susie , które to znajduję się w dawnej Kasbie. Kasba to podobnie jak Ribat forma Fortecy mająca na celu obronę dawnego miasta Susy. Ta konkretna wybudowana została w 11 wieku , a charakterystyczna wieża to tak naprawdę Latarnia morska wybudowana jeszcze w 859 roku. Ruszajmy zwiedzać.

When we were here in 2010, this building was unavailable, which we regretted very much, so we decided to make up for it this year. We came there from the side of the Medina as it used to be and as it used to be closed. It turned out that you have to go outside the walls of the Medina and enter from the (new) city side, but in 2010 the facility was just under renovation and organization. So let's see what is hidden in this monument.

Gdy byliśmy tu w 2010 roku , budynek ten był nie dostępny, czego bardzo żałowaliśmy dlatego też postanowiliśmy w tym roku go ostatecznie zobaczyć w środku nadrobić. Przyszliśmy tam od strony Medyn tak jak kiedyś i tak jak kiedyś było zamknięte .Okazało się że trzeba wyjść poza mury Medyny i wejść od strony (nowego) miasta, ale w 2010 obiekt był po prostu w trakcie remontu i organizacji . Więc zobaczmy co kryje się w tym zabytku .

Well, we are inside, we have a huge square surrounded by walls and lots of greenery, but before we go there, we will go inside the building, i.e. to the former chambers or barracks of this fortress.And there we have through various types of mosaics, ornaments, figurines, jugs, coins and other artifacts from Roman times and even Punic Carthage - All found in Sousse or in the vicinity of this city. Unfortunately, I don't have many photos of these artifacts.

No i jesteśmy w środku, mamy ogromny plac otoczony murami i mnóstwo zielni ,ale zanim tam pójdziemy , udamy się do wnętrza budowli , czyli do jak myślę dawnych komnat czy też koszar tej fortecy. A tam mamy przez różnego rodzaju mozaiki ,ozdoby , Figurki , dzbany, monety i inne artefakty z czasów Rzymskich a nawet Kartaginy Punickiej - Wszystko znalezione w Susie lub w okolicy tego miasta . Niestety nie mam zbyt wielu zdjęć tych artefaktów.

After this historical feast, it's time for another one, we go out to the square and start to see what is on it and beyond, unfortunately you can't climb the walls, but the views are also great.

To po tej Historycznej uczcie ,czas na kolejną wychodzimy na plac i zaczynamy oglądać co na nim jest i poza nim , nie da się niestety wejść na mury , jednak widoki też są super .

Unfortunately, you can't enter the Lighthouse anymore, according to the museum staff, this part of the building is now in private hands, not long ago it was available to everyone - It's a pity. Do Latarni morskiej nie można niestety już wejść ,według obsługi muzeum , ta cześć tej budowli jest już obecnie w prywatnych rękach , jeszcze nie dawno była dostępna dla wszystkich - Szkoda. To wszystko z Susy , w następnych postach zabiorę was do Monastyru który jest również ciekawy i ma wile do zaoferowania. Zapraszam was :)
