"Dancing Queens": Un homenaje a Abba, a través del bello arte del baile y del performance [ESP/ENG]
Desde hace 3 semanas mi hija, y sus compañeras en la academia de danza, han venido ensayando fervientemente una pequeña performance con la intención clarísima de homenajear al grupo sueco ABBA. Creo que todos, sin importar si somos o no fans de ellos, al menos sabemos un éxito. Éso, sin lugar a dudas. También, conversándolo con la instructura de las chicas, ella me comentaba que toda la idea nació porque ella, desde niña, a través de su madre, aprendió el amor por la música. Y siempre, continúa narrándome, se sintió atraída hacia la música, y sobre todos las melodías: "Ninguna canción me ha entusiasmado tanto como "Dancing Queen". Haré una presentación para rendir tributo".
En la cúspide de Tik Tok, Instagram, Roblox, Fortnite y YouTube, yo como mujer pero fundamentalmente como madre, aplaudo muchísimo la idea de relacionar la cultura con la actividad física, y por supuesto, con la danza. Desde el día uno, supe que sería una excelente idea inscribir a mi niña en danza. No sólo ha mejorado física, como mentalmente, sino que la ha instruido de un modo integral. Es una niña fantástica, y considero que la gente que le enseña a ser mejor y más disciplinada, son personas totalmente top. Desde la maquilladora de las nenas, hasta todas y cada una de las personas que están allí para hacerlas mejor. No sólo es bailar por bailar, es que ellas sepan qué están bailando.
Ahora bien, llegó el día de la presentación. Guacara Mall, un lugar hermoso y que me sorprendió gratamente... En este recinto, había un pequeño espacio dedicado a la cultura. Es decir, distintas escuelas de baile, academias y similares, se congregaron para dar muestra del arte de la danza. Hubo gimnasia de todo tipo. Llegó el momento de ver a mi niñas (sí, no sólo a mí hija. Como madre, le he cogido mucho cariño a todas y cada una de ellas) me dediqué a ver el rostro de las otras madres que estaban allí acompañando a sus hijas. Y les juro que el brillo en sus rostros fue innegable.
Como ya les he mencionado anteriormente, podrás ser (o no) fanático de la música de ABBA, eso da igual, pero lo que sí es innegable, incuestionable; es la maravillosa atracción que tienen sus melodías y sus poderosas canciones. Bastó con un breve intro de acordes, para que el público pudiera reconocerla, y da igual si hablan o no inglés, los aplausos, la conexión con la música y el reconocimiento a las nenas, es algo que a mí me satisface y me hace sentir inmensamente feliz. Ésa es la parte hermosa, inconmensurable de ser madre. Dicho de otro manera, son los episodios donde vale la pena criar a un hijo. Es hermoso. Sí, fue un día de baile con las chicas, pero mucho más inolvidable.
For the last 3 weeks my daughter and her classmates at the dance academy have been fervently rehearsing a small performance with the clear intention of paying homage to the Swedish group ABBA. On the cusp of Tik Tok, Instagram, Roblox, Fortnite and YouTube, I, as a woman but fundamentally as a mother, very much applaud the idea of linking culture with physical activity, and of course, dance. From day one, I knew it would be an excellent idea to enroll my child in dance. Not only has she improved physically and mentally, but it has taught her in a holistic way. She is a fantastic child, and I consider the people who teach her to be better and more disciplined to be absolutely top people. From the girls' make-up artist, to each and every one of the people who are there to make them better. It's not just dancing for the sake of dancing, it's that they know what they are dancing for.
Well, the day of the presentation arrived. Guacara Mall, a beautiful place that surprised me pleasantly... In this enclosure, there was a small space dedicated to culture. That is to say, different dance schools, academies and the like, congregated to show the art of dance. There was gymnastics of all kinds. It was time to see my girls (yes, not just my daughter. As a mother, I have grown very fond of each and every one of them) I took time to look at the faces of the other mothers who were there accompanying their daughters. And I swear the glow on their faces was undeniable.
Like I mentioned before, you may (or may not) be a fan of ABBA's music, it doesn't matter, but what is undeniable, unquestionable, is the wonderful attraction of their melodies and their powerful songs. It was enough with a brief intro of chords, so that the audience could recognise it, and it doesn't matter if they speak English or not, the applause, the connection with the music and the recognition of the girls, is something that satisfies me and makes me feel immensely happy. That is the beautiful, immeasurable part of being a mother. To put it another way, those are the episodes where it pays to raise a child. It's beautiful. Yes, it was a day of dancing with the girls, but much more unforgettable.
